Someone smarter than me (Bean?) should set up a Facebook group for those of us who have access to the service to join.

To join
If you are still in school and go to a well attended university, you will gain access. If you are no longer in school you might try your old school email address just in case...but I think they send a confirmation email. Graduate school emails also work...
Once you have a facebook profile you can join Burnt Orange Naiton (a public group for now). For those not familiar with facebook, it is basically legalized stalking which I had never heard of until I worked at camp this summer with younger college students.

Facebook FAQ
In short, there is no point. Facebook allows you to create a network of your friends, every student has their own little profile and you go about adding friends into your network. Facebook groups are a group of students who share a common interest, and the range of groups spans everything (including the turtle pond). You can add people from different schools into your social network, but you cannot join a group outside of the ones at your school. For example, I can't join UMD's BON group, and unless you have a utexas.edu email account, you can't join the UT BON group I just created.
Facebook is intended for people to expand their social networks, but often results in people obsessing over anonymously stalking others. It has basically ruined your high school reunion, because everyone from high school has Facebooked you and knows which college you go to, what you look like, and where you work.
