Rumor has it:
Credit: Kirk Bohls and the Statesman's web site.
"The Houston Texans, who probably will hire Broncos offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak as their new head coach whenever Denver is eliminated from the playoffs or wins the Super Bowl, are considering sending quarterback David Carr to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for former Longhorn running back Ricky Williams and Miami's first-round draft pick in 2007.
Kubiak would hire former Longhorn great Jerry Gray as his defensive coordinator (Gray may want to bolt the sinking ship in Buffalo) and hire Texas' Greg Davis as his quarterbacks coach. Davis has long had a close association with the Broncos.
Maybe the Dolphins figure Williams is tainted goods, considering all his baggage and may think Carr is ready to blossom after going through all his growing pains in Houston. That could free up Houston to take Vince Young with the No. 1 pick on April 29. Sounds interesting."
Hell yeah! Can you imagine Vince and Ricky in the same backfield?

Or maybe Vince can
This can't be true, it is just too good.
Although it would convert plenty of UT and Cowboy fans to Houston.

RB Cedric Benson (Picked up on waivers)
FB Will Mathews (Free agent)
WR Roy Williams (Trade with Detroit)
WR Sloan Thomas (Free agent from Tennessee Titans)
RT Mike Williams (Bolts Buffalo)
LG Derrick Dockery (Redskins can't afford him)
LT Leonard Davis (trade with Arizona)
TE David Thomas (Pick up in the fourth round)

The reason they don't pick up Bo Scaife is because they believe he still has five more years of college eligibility remaining

and for the D
D-Line: Casey Hampton, Shaun Rogers, Corey Redding, Rod Wright
CBs: Quentin Jammer, Nathan Vasher
Strong Safety: Michael Huff, Cedric Griffin*
*NFL scouts move the hard hitter to his new position in the pros
I think we can safely bring Chizik in to coach the D.
Not a bad unit, really.

Peter King
They might move David Carr and draft VY or keep Carr and draft Bush.
The rumors have some traction, if guys like King are confirming them.

Where am I?
I am a gorgeously staunch Cowboys fan, and having lived in Houston for a year or two, i pretty much loathe the Texans for consistently impaling themselves on their own dull lousiness and destroying 4 hours of my CBS morning football. Plus, David Carr's only contribution to the city is his 2 minute breast cancer diatribe on the ass-clown sports radio broadcast during Monday morning drive-time. I also hate when people creatively use Toxins as a punchline, and then play the laugh track.
I have been out of the country for most of the NFL season, but didn't Ricky drop like a buck 97 on some lowly rush defense; while Ronnie Brown-eye was licking a sore appendage or am I way off? Having an entire Longhorn back field might just make me renounce my sworn allegiance to former head coach Dave Campo and fall in the lemming line at Reliant stadium for yellow infection nachos and a Miller Light.
Obviously this paradoxical scenario makes me even more engourged, due to the projected departure of everyone's favorite offensive fingerpaint-monkey.
Ever nervous of the backhanded silver ringed pimp-slap that a daydream like this might lead too, I might be concerned that the Texans would Beastie Boys Leinart with their first pick and Sabotage the opportunity to have Young taking snaps next season. This scenario, would leave every Longhorn crying over the eventuality of the Saints sending Vince to the land winning forgot and leaving newsmakers to wonder who will be coverpaging the bridal gown: Vince or Ditka? Then again, the Kube loves his PA bootleg and crazy eyes Plumber's jazz decision making in or out of the pocket; where Vince's jaw dropping adultery with grass field ice skating might just pull the heartstrings of Gary's budding pathos.
I still like VY going to the Tits, sitting under removal of hair McNair and developing into an NFL god as opposed to the trial via fire, run for your life, Texans gameplan. Don't forget, Billy Volek always ends up starting like three games a season, because Steve breaks his spine or loses a testicle.

Casserly
Just look at the Redskins after Gibbs left. Gibbs was the only one who knew personnel. Gibbs would go around Casserly right to Jack Kent Cooke to get what he needed.
The other rumor out there is the Titans trading up to get Leinart. I doubt it though, too much to give up for one spot.
