I've been beat up a little in my assessment of Jevan Snead so I'd like to set the record straight.  I'm not saying that anyone, ever, in the history of mankind, has been, or ever will be as good as Vince Young.  

Let me rephrase that...

No one, in the history of mankind, has been, or ever will be as good as Vince Young.

There, I said it.  And I feel better.  

Having said that, I think UT should retire the jersey number of Vince Young.  In fact, they should just go ahead and retire the position itself.  No one should ever play QB at the University of Texas again.  Since no one will ever be as good as Vince Young again, why try?  I mean really, it can only lead to our disappointment.  Instead, lets run a two RB set where the ball is snapped directly to one of the RB's.  If that doesn't work, we can just punt on first down and let the defense score for us.  And since we won't be throwing the ball, we have no need for receivers so we can run more RB's on the field, except for the occasional end-around.  

Life without VY is going to be quite empty.  But at least I'll always have the archive of this blog to reminisce.
