Best perfromances all time

Here is a link to one writer's best performacnes all time in championship play.

He has Vince ranked #3 but I would move him up to second. Magic who scored 42 with 15 rebounds is second, but really is that better than 200 rushing, 267 passing with a 75% completion percentage? 42 and 15 is pedestrian compared to that. #1 is Don larson's perfect game, can't really argue with that one.

Best of all-time....
...is always a dubious debate.  Few of us have been alive since the inception of sport to see all of these events in person.  There's probably great arguments for 100s off different moments, but one argument that would favor Vince is the fact that Larson and Johnson's performances were simply one of four games needed to win their respective titles (best of seven).  Vince had one game, one shot, and did it.
Now where did I put that can of RAID. Oh here it is...41-38.

but...
On the flip side of that argument, Don Larsen didn't pitch in every single World Series game either.  And when he had his opportunity, he performed at the highest possible level.

I considered that....
...but in that same series, he also started Game 2.  He lasted only 1 and 2/3 innings, surrendering 4 runs (on 4 walks and 1 hit).  The Yankees never recovered and lost 13-8.

wait
you support this guy?

he writes, "Young went 1-on-11 with USC and its 34-game winning streak. And he won. The record books show that the '05 national title belongs to Texas. We know better. It's all Young's."

Haven't you guys been telling us that's wrong the entire time?

You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Fight On! Beat the (Insert USC opponent here)!

No
I do not think he really belives that, if he did Vince would be #1.

Cedric Benson
What's the 5a thing with Cedirc all about. I am kinda ignorant about the High School years of players so what is so great about it?

Man...
Because Westlake and Midland Lee were playing at Darrell K Royal for the State Championship, I had to go see that.  Cedric Benson tore up the Westlake D in that game, it was incredible.  Matter of fact, a little info is that Huston Street, the closer for the Oakland A's, was playing strong safety for Westlake in that game.

By the way, didnt Midland Lee have a three-peat in state championships when Cedric was there?  I think so.

5A
The A classications refer to how many students attend the high school.  His 5A school is the largest classification in Texas.

Disagree
I'm going to have to disagree about Magic.  He went for 42 pts, 15 rebs, and 7 assists as a rookie point guard playing center (how many point guards could do that even with years of experience?) in what would be the final game of the NBA Finals.  Actually, I think he ended up playing at least 3 or 4 different positions in that game.  It's hard to make a football analogy with a player switching positions and dominating regardless, but I think the fact that Magic was a rookie and playing out of position has to factor into this.  I would still put Magic's performance over Vince's.
