Texas as underdog

When was the last time we were an underdog at home?

With Vince leaving and Ohio State likely to be in the top 2 or 3 (possibly even #1) in the polls coming into that game, will that make Texas an underdog?

I don't remember - was Nebraska and/or Kansas State favored in 1999?  That would be the most recent I can think of.

Of course, the next question becomes when was the last time a defending national champion was an underdog at home?

It might be more recent than I think, but it is still interesting.

We will be favored
Ohio State loses Santonio Holmes, all three linebackers, and Yabouty to the NFL. We'll be 4 point favorites and win by 10+.

You heard it here first...

Ohio State
PB, agree with the Ohio State opinion, they'll have a much tougher time slowing down JC and RT next year without that sick linebacking corps.

Troy Smith isn't as good as everyone thinks he is, the ND defense was horrible all year and the Fiesta Bowl result should have been expected.

yep
I think we win, too.  I was just wondering about Vegas and a potential line (not that it really matters that much) with us likely hovering around 8-10 or so and OSU a lot higher.

Texas underdog?
Texas will not be ranked as an underdog going into the game but it is going to be a decent game. The reason is because texas will have a qb controversy on their hands and the game is in only week 2.
"It's so beautiful," "Don't you think that's beautiful? That crystal's so beautiful. It's coming home all the way to Austin, Texas."
