Texas' BCS Title Chances
Bruce Feldman, ESPN The Magazine college football writer had this to say when asked what Texas needs to happen to make the BCS Championship game:
Bruce Feldman: (1:18 PM ET ) OK, OSU has to whip Michigan. UF, Tenn and Auburn need to all lose once and Rutgers beat L'ville and then lose to Pitt or WVU. Also itd be nice if A&M won all its games before UT smashed them. Now I doubt an unbeaten Rutgers would be ahead of UT and I'm not sure if Auburn or Tenn would either but it would help them if they werent in the mix.

Seems about right
The other thing that probably needs to happen is the Horns need to absolutely murder everyone they play. To emerge atop the one-loss scram, Texas needs to jump up to #2 in the human polls. That won't happen if we dance with danger every game.
Too conservative
I dont think Tenn, Auburn or Rutgers can make the jump.
so we need OSU to win out and UF and UL to lose one. Not that improbable.
I agree

Forgot about them
Remaining Games
Still gotta win
I think USC could jump us if they win out, but I don't see that happening--I think they'll drop at least one more game, hopefully against Oregon (at which point we would then want them to win the rest of their games).
Also, I think we should pull for Arkansas to make it to the SEC championship over Auburn--I can't see a team making it to the national title game if they can't even make it to they're own conference title game. Here's a question though: what if Arkansas wins out and beats Florida in the SEC championship? Do they have a legitimate argument to play for the national title?

Hope Arkansas loses to LSU
nebraska in 2001
It's a shame
Of course, the other recent "greatest team ever" got destroyed by Kansas State before getting a spot in the national title game in 2003.
