Breaking News: Rumsfeld Out, A&M President In
Leave the politics out of this discussion, folks. We'll delete it.
Just one week after I published this piece on Texas A&M president Robert Gates, the Associated Press is reporting that he will resign his position at Texas A&M to take over as Secretary of Defense of the United States of America. Donald Rumsfeld will step down as the head of the department, but remain at the Pentagon in an advisory capacity.
This isn't completely sports-related, though I'd urge you to read the article I wrote last week for some perspective on Gates and what he was bringing to Texas A&M. What will happen to his quest to change the culture in Aggieland?
Update [2006-11-8 14:3:39 by HornsFan]: The other Andrew notes that A&M still has a long, long way to go. Wow.
