What bowl games are you actually interested in

I just went through the list and marked my calendar for what games I want to watch:
Independence Bowl - OK St vs AL
Holiday Bowl - A&M vs Cal
Insight Bowl - Tech vs Minn
Alamo - Obvious
Cotton - Aub vs Neb
Cap One - Ark vs Wis
Rose - USC vs Mich
Fiesta - OU vs Bosie St
Sugar - LSU vs ND
Championship Game
You can see my reasoning, teams we played, interesting matchups (Cap one and Rose), wanting to see ND get exposed one more time and the championship.

What is every one else going to watch?

You have a much broader focus than I do
TCU and Rice hold little interest to me, but I will read the box scores and hope they win, for the Major, Texas football in gereral and our SoS next year.
Missouri holds little to no value to me, other than rooting for the big 12.
Watching Tenn beat up on Joe Pa would just be depressing.

I can really only add to that
because I'll probably try and watch most of whats been listed.
Basically what ever is on I'll try and catch some action, but it will be hard with family obligations and get togethers.

In order of interest:
Alamo - duh
Champ game - Still not sure who to pick, leaning Gators
Sugar - ND gets a taste of the next two years with a de-pantsing of the season
Rose - I'm pulling for Mich big time
Cap one - Wiscy is the blue collar team I root for, especially against a team I detest
Fiesta - Smurf massacre
Holiday - A&M will not win this and it will be depressing to think about
Cotton - good matchup
Orange - Yet, this could produce the most dynamic game of the BCS series

i'll be watching
the Alamo Bowl.  Maybe.

Other than that, I have absolutely zero interest in watching any of the other games.  I might check the box scores in the next day's paper.

I will watch every game until there are no more...
Or my eyes start to burn...whichever comes first

really?
Do you also watch the Big East meaningless Thurday night game all year?

by Wells on Dec 14, 2006 2:54 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

I know this is directed
more at aorist9, but if a college game is on, it's whats on my TV. Now maybe I've got the sound turned down or off, but it's still on.

Sometimes...
...in my darker moments...after I've watched some meaningless conference USA game on ESPN2....I'll watch it again...on ESPNU...as I'm falling asleep.

We need a support group.

Unfortunately
Yes, I did on Thursday nights.

bowl games
are nothing more than glorified "pre-season" games with no meaning.  I'd rather catch the 17th showing of A Christmas Story or the long, lost Star Wars Christmas Special.

Even "Jack Frost"?
I saw that last night for the first time. Wow, did it s*ck.

Just a reminder
After Feb 4th (superbowl) we start the annual 7 month football drought (barring the draft, if ure really desperate)

So i would recommend watching all the football you can physically watch. Even the App. State UMass game tonight... just think of how you felt midway through May... im not saying, im just saying

fathead is right
Get it all in now, because it's seven months of talking about who's doing good in Spring Training, anticipation for the Orange-White Game, talk about who progressed, watching the NFL draft, talking about who progressed, waiting to see if OU gets NCAA sanctions, talking about who progressed in the spring game, picking up NCAA '08 for the PS3, watching NFL preseason live from Tokyo, etc, etc, etc.

You get the picture. Watch them all.

I for one am interested in most, if not all the games. Unfortunately, I know, I wont be able to watch every game but will definitely try to catch the TCU game, and most of the Big Xii games, the BCS games, yada, yada, yada.

The SDCCUPB
I gotta watch this one, if nothing else to see how they can fit

"The San Diego County Credit Union Poinsetta Bowl" onto a logo.

It's all down hill from there.... except the Mastercard San Antonio Greater Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center Riverwalk Alamo Bowl.

Hook Em!

only three actually
Rice
Houston
Texas

As someone else said, I'll follow the box scores for the rest.

Houston and Rice have really grabbed my attention this year.  Of course, I live in the general vicinity of Houston.  Rice, in particular though, finished the year as many of us hope the Titans will.  Major boost for Major's career, and well deserved.  Best receiver in the country this year (sorry Limas), or at least the most valuable to his team.  Also great for UT's strength of schedule.
