Texas Adds Quarterback
Quick hitter here before I head into the stadium to watch the Holiday Bowl. Texas has added a quarterback to the 2007 class. Rivals reports that Gilmer senior GJ Kinne, Texas' 3A Player of the Year, has switched his commitment from Baylor to Texas.

I believe he is an Elite 11
The only thing holding him back is the character issue. He apparently has transfered schools several times and his dad was just hired by Baylor to coach the LBs.
He could be bringing baggage or he could be a good kid. Only time will tell.

Sweet sassy molassy!
I'd imagine Curtis Brown wearing that burnt orange MNC t-shirt to practice probably had an effect.
hmmmm....
Did anyone else read that his dad got shot when he was coaching at Canton High School by a disgruntled fan. The article hinted that the shooter was upset by G.J. Sr playing his son (big suprise) instead of another QB that led the team from 3-7 one year to 8-2 the next.
But more satisfying than anything else is that the sooner fans were salivating over this kid. Good luck beating out Colt and Sherrod though. Wouldnt want to be fresh meat at UT next year.

Ruh-Roh
My initial thought is that this is a mistake. We have three QB's next year that can play. I don't think they'll RS Chiles because he's a threat on every play. We need him on the field. Then there's Harris who would be a more than capable back up if he doesn't win the role outright. Then Colt. Why not just try to stack up on some serious in state talent next year. Everything I'm hearing is that next years class has some top national talent at the position.
I'm with John on this one
I hope the guy turns out to be a surprise, but I'm not convinced. But hell, he may turn out to be the Nordgren to Chiles' VY, so it may not matter in the long run that he seems to be a bit of a prima donna.
