Top 10 Losses in Mack Brown Era

  1. 2003 Oklahoma: You would think that this would be higher but Texas was pretty bad that year on defense on our offense was in transition so I kind of expected this. We might have won the game if Vince didn't fumble at the one but it was an expected loss. The season was already bad since we lost to the pigs.
  2. 2000 Oklahoma: I don't really remember this game but it sucked we got killed and it set of the OU national championship run. It wasn't that big but the score made it hurt even more. Texas was a young team and most of us were looking towards next year.
  3. 2006 K-State: This one sucks because we lost to such a bad team and it was a perfect storm for them and Doug Flutie was working his magic. Scrubs were playing the game of their lives for K-State and it cost us a big time bowl game a Big 12 Championship. I was pretty sick after watching this game when our secondary looked it never played football before. Devastating loss.
  4. 20003 versus the pigs: This loss would not be remembered if lost to say Alabama or some average team on the road. It stinged because we lost to Arkansas who couldn't complete a pass and the white Vince Young was having the game of his life and some scrub had his best game again against us. It also hurt because the pigs were talking shit after it and thats what sucked and people called UT soft and stuff like that.
  5. 2002 versus Tech: Don't you see a trend here how our defenses almost always fucks when we lose. Why is that when we play mediocre teams that are one dimensional we always lose. For instance Arkansas, K-State, and Tech we have trouble. This game summed Chris Simms career he played awesome but had one bad throw that i still remember. The pick that seeled the game got that was a horrible throw. What makes me mad more is when we lose to these lesser schools you see the horns down and all that crap and fans rushing the field and the players with the horns down makes you. Kliff Kingsbury enemy of the nation number 1 i hate that guy he thinks hes the shit but now he is playing Arena ball. I forget cost us a chance at a big 12 title.
  6. 2004 versus OU: There are alot of OU losses hoped there aren't to many in the future. I expected Texas to lose because we were one dimensional and when you face teams with even talent its hard to move the ball. But what was so frustrating about the loss was how sloppy we were even though OU knew what we were doing they couldn't stop us but we were fumbling the ball slipping all over the place and we were actually getting breaks that almost always got to OU. This game was ours even though OU was a little bit better. The defense that is the last great defensive performance this program has had. Derrick Johnson was a man possesed that strip against White who must have been in his 10th at OU was amazing. It was such a moment swing but Vince fumbles the ball away. We get a TD i think we win the game in though Peterson was running all over us they couldn't score in the redzone. There was a positive to that loss we didn't get a chance to get blown by USC though so it was more of a somber loss.
  1. 2006 versus the Aggies: This one sucked because we lost to a team that couldn't complete pass (God Stephen McGee sucks all he does is know how get in someone's face after they tackle him). It also made life miserable for me the following Monday in school when all those Aggies were wearing there gay shirts making fun of us (I hate those shirts). It also cost us a big 12 title it was more of the fact that we lost at home than anything else. If we were going to lose to them i was at least hoping to lose in Faggieland. It hurt even more watching there wannabe military celebrating after the loss. That what makes these losses hurt the other fans celebration. I wasn't that upset lost to Ohio State because they expected to win so their fans weren't going crazy but when you lose to these schools lower than you it hurts.
  2. 2002 versus OU: We lose to OU again! This game was supposed to be the game that UT's demons were to go away but instead Chris chokes again and ruins an amazing performance from the secondary. We were dominating the first half Nate Hybl looked like the worst qb alive he was awful i mean awful that pick by Babers got me so pumped up and i was sure we were on our way to face "The U" in the Fiesta but then poor kickoff coverage does us in. They don't return that kick to our twenty we blow them out but gives them moment and our defense gets to tired in the second because Greg Davis play calling was so predictable 2 dives to Benson and then some 3 step drop slant that fails and punt the ball. Then some midget running back Quentin Griffin runs all over us. Tackling is not an option guys just to let you know. I think that was the most painful loss for Mack because it looked like he was done he wanted out but my boy VY (love you) saved his ass. Dakari Pearson had the game of his life but Simms choked again and sooner "magic prevailed"
  3. 2001 versus OU: half of the losses on this list are against OU. This was the one that just sucked the most. I mean that scrub White comes in and has one good drive and OU defense played lights out. Our defense played excellent but didn't force any turnovers which is the case when ever we lose they don't force any turnovers in big games. This loss was on Mack for not playing Ced Benson. Why were Ivan Williams and Victor Ike even on the team. If he played that game i think we win because OU's defense was getting worn out a little bit. We were starting to move the ball a little bit and then Nathan Vasher does the dummest play ever fielding a punt on the one yard and then next comes the play that we see every year during the mid point of the first quater showing history of the came. Amazing play but why was that white running in the game someone tell me please. Brett Robin you only should have played against Baylor. How was he on scholarship. Just painful and devasting loss.
  4. 2001 Big 12 Championship versus Colorado. When you guys saw the title for this thread i'm betting in more than half of your minds this loss popped in. I remember this more than the Rose Bowl last year. I don't care because i believed this was Mack's most complete team he had. We had a really good special teams, lights out defense lead by Jammer and a really balanced offense. At the beginning of this game i thought "Bring on the U". I'm betting that we could have given Miami a game i don't know about beating them but we didn't run an archaic offense even with GD. Quentin Jammer would have shut down Andre Johnson but Miami's D was full of playmakers who would have made Chris pay for one of his usually bad throws. Now the game everything that could go wrong went wrong. We were up 7-0 and drive and Chris fumbles inside the red zone Ced gets hurt trying to chase the and all the momentum swings and they steamroll us the rest of the half even they can't complete a pass. Chris stinks up and Major comes to the rescue and almost pulls of a miracle. But in the fourth we stop them and Mack goes for the block roughing the punter game over. Phillip Geigar doesn't commit that penalty Major leads the Longhorns to the Rose Bowl and this site would be name Majorapplewhiteistheshit.com simple as that but we go to the holiday bowl again and almost lose to a bad team again. I cried after that lose because i wanted to see them play miami so badly.
