A&M Open Gameday Thread

Horns and Aggies: Saturday 1 PM on ESPN.

Will Aldridge rebound from an off night?
Will Texas dominate again on defense?
Can Gibson continue his hot shooting?
Will anyone other than Law and Jones be able to score?
Do the Aggies need to pick another team to be their rivals?

ND Louisville - OT
I can't tell you how many times this year Texas games have been delayed because the game before us goes into overtime.

At least 4 during football.

This blows.

More than stupid
The only thing that is more stupid is Espn on Direct TV. It has the first game on two channels and instead of switching one channel to the new game and leaving one on the game on the early game (which would satisify everyone) they keep both channels on the game in progress and then when it is over they change both over to the late game.
What the hell is the logic of that!

Late switches
You guys are conplaining about missing the first few minutes of an A&M basketball game at the Drum? I understand missing the first few minutes of a football game. But A&M vs Texas hoops?

You're right
I wish they had a complete Notre Dame - Louisville postgame wrap up.

Plus
The dish network has alternate ESPN chanels that they could use, but I have never seen them active.  It seems if you had an alternate chanel, you would use it to allow people to chose which feed they wanted to watch.

Awesome flop
by Buckman with 3:45 left.  Good to know that Texas is starting to get the "Shane Battier" flopping calls.
GO BRUINS. HOOK 'EM HORNS.

A Trojan can only be used once. A Bruin is forever.

Certainly not what I was hoping for...
... but I'll take it.

"Will Aldridge rebound from an off night?"  NO
"Will Texas dominate again on defense?"  1st Half YES  2nd Half NO
Can Gibson continue his hot shooting?  NOT REALLY
Will anyone other than Law and Jones be able to score?  EDIT THAT - JUST JONES
Do the Aggies need to pick another team to be their rivals?  HELL YES

BTW, Tellus?  Holla!  1 bucket, 2-4 from the line, 4 fouls, and you took out one of your own players.  Nice game.

Patience Paying Off

Horns continued
the everybody get to play some style basketball, but did not have a bad showing.  We do need to get our bench some minutes and although we let them get close near the end, I dont think the game was ever really in doubt.
Aldridge needs to get a little more consistant, giving up too many fouls early and not being the dominant player he could be.
One thing I don't get is why we continue to run the pick and roll, and never throw it to the big men on the roll.  The other team just doubles off of it every time, and the big man is alway open.
