He Just Pulled a Bomar

OU quarterback Rhett Bomar was cited for under aged drinking and he should be applauded for this.

I would also like to congratulate the OU coaches for maintaining an atmosphere of respect and accountability in Norman.

If there's one thing OU is known for, it's that the football team is a collective class act, top to bottom. When a player screws up, we can count on Bob Stoops to rectify the situation. He has too much respect for his colleagues, the University of Oklahoma, and the game to let this one slide.

Keep up the good work, OU. Here is the link..

Only at OU
I guess OU is the only campus in the country where under aged drinking occurs.

How much wacky weed do you think Ricky Williams smoked at Texas?

Ricky? Probably a good bit
Where in my post did I imply that OU is the only campus where under aged drinking occurs?

Obviously football players and many other students drink under age in college.  God knows I did.

I apologize for not making myself clear.

What Bomar did was stupid not because he was drinking under age, but because he was drinking at a televised NBA basketball game.  He's a celebrity in Oklahoma, and it was a dumb thing to do, considering most people at the event would recognize him.  It was a case of really poor judgment on Bomar's part, to drink at an especially public forum.

You know what you were saying.
Yes, it is just another thing on the long list of stupidity for Bomar but your intent was to bash OU not Bomar.

Despite your opinion athletes are punished at OU and not allowed to, "do whatever they want."

Tell me which one of the examples you listed were not punished by Bob Stoops?

You're absolutely right.
MattH,

I changed this post, just for you.

I was way out of line earlier.  I should have known that some people would've read every sentence of the original post literally.  My gut told me, "People will understand that you are exaggerating," but clearly that instinct was wrong.
