As I sit here typing, I wonder to myself, who cares?  The basketball team just bowed out with an easier than expected path in front of them, unable to skip the stone at their feet, the baseball team is underachieving, and Oklahoma continues to be a state in the Union (that was for MattH - just another Sooner jab).  But truly, life is good.  Just a couple of months ago, I witnessed the greatest sporting event in my life end in my favor.  My month old daughter doesn't wake me up!! My wife's Dr. gave the ok to "resume normal activity", and we're one day closer to Sept.  

The Elite 8 is good.  It may not meet our extremely high expectations, but it was a good year and a decent finish.  The baseball team still has plenty of time to put it together and win it all again.  I still have faith.  And at least I can hang my hat on the fact that we lasted longer than OU in the tourney.

I wish the Basketball team did better, I wish the Baseball team was still #1, and, well, Oklahoma is still Oklahoma.  But life is good and it's still a great time to be a Longhorn!
