Roger the Racist?
At the least this was a poor choice of words, or at the max, the reason why I don't like parts of Texas.
Clemens, who broke down late last season with injuries, said he felt fine after the WBC and left the tournament impressed by the quality of the international teams.
But he made a questionable comment when speaking about the devotion of the Japanese and South Korean fans.
"None of the dry cleaners were open, they were all at the game, Japan and Korea," Clemens said. "So we couldn't get any dry cleaning done out there, but I guess the neatest thing is that 50,000 of them were at Anaheim Stadium."

Wow
Amazing
Plus, who is going to fine Roger? The Anaheim Asian Chamber of Commerce? No, b/c its good PR.
Keep it real Roger
Don't forget
Yes, Roger keep it real, real Southern.
Futhermore
I hope this is the actual context of the statement, but if it is he is NOT a racist, but was trying to be a humorist.
This again shows the power of ESPN and their media empure. By just adding a few lines and subtracting a few the entire meaning of his quote changed. If they kept the article as they had put last night, Roger would have had a backlash from Asian political groups (come to Alief, the Asian community is strong).
Have you ever lived in the south?
Take his comments for example. Yes, the way you explained them sound utterly racist. However, the way I took it (and probably the way he meant it) was that a lot of Dry cleaner stores are owned by Asians. That's not racist. It's a fact. Just like a lot of donut shops in my area are owned/run by Asians. Is it racist that they chose this as a profession? It was their choice. I agree, there are plenty of Asians that are Dr.s, Computer programmers, and inevitably work at every credit card company for which I own a card. Is that racist? No. They just work there.
I'm sorry, I don't mean to sound rude, but your line of thinking on this diary is exactly what is wrong with America today. People are overly sensitive to everything and raise red flags if people fart down-wind. Lighten up. Let people be who they are.
I am being oversensitive and OU Sucks
BUT I don't think this sort of debate is needed on this blog, because this is the BURNT ORANGE NATION. Let's all agree on a few things. OU Sucks. Texas is home to the best football. And Vince Young is God.
