Irish Coming Home to Dallas?

In an attempt to return the school to its independent roots Notre Dame is going to schedule one home game a season at a neutral site beginning in 2009.

Athletic director Kevin White said that traveling to different parts of the country every year would help with recruiting and allow more Irish fans to have the opportunity to see the team play.

One of the locations the Irish are currently negotiating with is the City of Dallas. Kevin White said that he had a special place in his heart for the children of Dallas.

"They're the Little Lebowski Urban Achievers - inner city children of promise but without the necessary means for a higher education. So Mr Lebowski is committed to sending all of them to college."
