Ok - so I got a little carried away there, but they have posted at least 3 times as many games as I put on here. Wow - time to reload the old bunco account. There are some tasty nuggets in there. What's a ten team parlay pay anyways?

Look at those huge lines
Someone in Vegas is trying to lure gullable cocky ND fans in to plunking money down on lines they can't possibly cover.
+22 UCLA
+15 Penn State
When is the last time an ND put up those kind of points against either of those schools, much less a potential top 25 team?

ND gamblers
I would expect UCLA to put at least 21 on the board unless the weather is just awful in late October, but then it should be a low scoring game anyways.

Funny thing is
Most of them are thinking that the line is TOO SMALL and Weis will hang half a hunny on them.
Its like daBears fans with Ditka or Jordan on the SNL skits.
"Weis vs. God.....I would spot God 50 points, because it took him 7 days to create the universe and it only took Weis one year to make a National Title contender"
"Clearly God cannot match Weis's offensive mind and the victory would be lopsided"

This may be a stupid question
Similarly, what is the significant of -110 on all of those?
My last thing is about the "OFF"...does that mean anything relevant?
Sorry, gambling on sports isn't my strong point.

Professor Wager
tOSU is favored by 1. The -1 means they have to cover that many points. If they only win by one point it is a "push".
-110 is the juice. the sportsbook takes 10%. I bet 10 dollars to win 9.
I should have gotten rid of those "offs" but the first one means that the bookie is not offering moneyline bets = pick the winner (your bet is not on the spread). The second off is that the bookie is not offering over/under lines.
If you don't have an addictive personality then I actually suggest getting an online account. When I was broke in college, i would do $5 parlays (one bet on multiple teams) on the games I knew I was going to watch that day anyways and it made it a lot more fun. However, I have a lot of friends who couldn't handle it and it got them in some trouble, so it isn't for everyone.

The $5 parlays
Nothing quite like getting the first three games right in the morning/ afternoon. Then all of a sudden that midnight Hawaii - San Diego State is a $40 game.

wacky lines
I'm very surprised that Louisville is getting -6.5 against WVU, who sportswriters have annointed as a title contender this season. WVU won't be a title contender but I wouldn't expect them to get 6.5 points even at Louisville.
The Notre Dame lines are obviously domer-bait. +2 at USC? -15 and -22 against PSU and UCLA? Hilarious.
Does anyone on the planet imagine that USC is only going to beat ND by a field goal (or less) at home? I simply can't imagine it barring both Booty and Sanchez being injured.
Weis is a great coach and all, but he's still relying on the highly mediocre recruits of the Willingham era, and they won't be playing on long grass in LA.
I also highly doubt that Weis would run the score up against UCLA. ND doesn't need to run the score up, they'll get ranked in the top 2 just by winning. And possibly by tying or even losing.
