Ok, so I'm a little burnt on the prognosticating stuff. I can only talk about Weis's fat can, tOSU's mythical reloading and OU's imaginary O-line so much.
I'd be interested to hear what people like to prepare and drink for tailgating, football watching at home/parties, etc.
What food and beverages really sets the tone for you?
Here's what I like:
Food at home
- gotta go with the tried and true nachos (guac if possible)
- usually some BBQ (brisket, snausage), but the occasional dog and brat has been known to make an appearance
- tamales if time permits
- my wife makes this artichoke dip stuff thats killer with some veggies
- I've been dabbling with home brew lately and have only done some pilsner stuff, but I'm trying to learn some new recipes in time for tOSU
- Anything that Abita or Spaten makes is solid
- Been on a porter kick lately (Anchor Steam), which gives me the chance to sing Cash's "hey porter" to my guests everytime I open a bottle
Food
- For Chicago Bears games anything that is warm and can be eaten with gloves on, such as a dog with everything on it
- nachos are out, but fajitas can be fun with a group
- anything in a can that is tasty
- NU games its flask city after the beer
