Has UT Passed A&M in basketball too?

Calm down, i'm just qouting Houston Chronicle columist Richard Justice. Thats what he is saying on his blog. Here is the site http://blogs.chron.com/sportsjustice/. Notice the sarcaism. Its not really serious he just likes to poke fun at how we think that we are "superior" to every school in this state and conference.

It is true, we are superior to every school in this conference. What can i say? RJ also brings up a good point how the dynamics will change if they win. If we win its big brother doing what they always do. If we lose on the otherhand "we are losing our grip on big time athletics in this state". I am really looking forward to that game. We don't have dumbass PJ anymore to lose track of the shotclock and we are going to have a shotclock in this game hopefully unlike last game.

He does bring up a really good point. That game following the super bowl is going to be a must win. We have to win that game. I can't stand the trash talking that Aggies will do if we win it.

I am also sick of how people think that A&M is good. They are overrated by a mile and we are so underrated. Were not in the top 25? What the fuck is up with that?

I think KD will probably put up 35 plus on them and get 15 boards in leading us to a close victory.

Richard Justice you are a fucking idiot. It is really sarcastic though if you don't see it.

Don't kid yourself
A&M is good, has a 90% chance of beating Texas in College Station, and will only be the slightest of underdogs when they visit Austin.

Not only that, but Texas doesn't matchup well with A&M this year at all. They play physical, punishing defense, enjoy a tremendous size and strength advantage, and better depth.

Texas has a great, young, interesting team. Like it or not, though - A&M's (at least as of late January) is better.

"Must Win"?
Winning in College Station is a "must win"? Wrong. In fact, not even close. I expect the Horns to lose at A&M and so do most other rational fans. Winning in College Station would be the biggest road win by any team this season in the Big 12.

Like it our not (I don't) their brand of basketball is difficult to overcome. They are solid on both ends and in the top 10 in offensive and defensive efficiency.

I hate to hear the Aggies boast just as much as you do, but splitting with the Aggies this year would be more than acceptable.

I didn't see any "fun poking"
I thought it was perfectly reasonable.  Texas has a lot of talent, but so far has yet to fully realize their potential.  aTm on the other hand has established themselves and match up well against the Horns.

The aTm game although important, is not really a "must-win."  The regular season's only real value is experience.

As bar as bragging rights, if we beat aTm the Aggies will talk about their football win.  If we lose to aTm, the Aggies will still talk about their football win.

I'm hoping for a split in this series, to be honest.

we are doomed
"OU will almost ceratinly beat Texas next season."
With the aTm headline and that quote do you think old Dickie might be stirring the pot?

Guys the Sarcasim
Guys he is joking. I keep saying it and people don't notice how sarcastic he is. He loves Bob Stoops. I'll admit its difficult to notice if you don't read his articles and blogs frequently.
Vince Young is a beast.

I can't stand the way A&M plays bball
I don't know if I'll be able to watch the game...sober.  They're going to push and shove and foul and bully us the entire game.  I'm going to be so frustrated and calling for a T every 2 minutes.  I don't know if my heart can take it.

For me
the most frustrating part about watching A&M games is that there's no scoring! While watching a good defensive output is fun on occasion, I couldn't stand it for more than a few games. It's just boring basketball.

By all means, I think Rick should play Dex as much as possible, and let him bang bodies with Joseph Jones. See how JJ can handle it when HE'S the one getting bitched around. I even hope Dexter fouls out, knowing he played a good, physical game. Just let the aggies know two can play that game.

...til Gabriel blows his horn

I definitely agree w/ Big Tex.....
on putting Dex on JJ and let him hack the shit out of him all game. Don't let them dictate the tempo or the physicality of the game. Make them run and shoot quick shots b/c they have horrible shooters. To me AM's type of game is not fun basketball, but that said they are better for right now. Just a split is all we need.
I'm sort of a big deal, people know me
