Texas-OU TV Coverage Map
I've received a handful of emails asking about ABC's coverage plan for Saturday's 2:30 games. Plan accordingly:

No game for the Southeast
Looks like another trip to the sports bar...
It is somewhat confusing
in the midwest.
According to my digital listing at home ESPN has an either or thing. It has PSU/Iowa on ESPN AND on ABC.
I think in the past I've discoverd it only gets put on one or the other, while the RRS ends up on ESPN.
Can't take the risk. I need to be around others in mourning. Sports bar it is.
You're right
I've seen some strange things like that too. I live at ground-zero of buckeye country and I've seen Big 12 games come on regional ABC and then prompty get switched to a lousy Big 11 game right before kick-off.
I can't believe
They're fukking showing the Florida State-NC State game here in Washington, DC (per WJLA's website). A thrilling ACC matchup!

Yep, I called ABC 7 and confirmed
I mean, really -- North Carolina STATE?!? No one here cares about them!
I have Game Plan, so I'll be able to see the game, but so much for watching in HD.

WWL
On eight Saturdays this season, beginning tomorrow, ESPN will offer regionalized college football coverage, carrying games being aired on ABC, according to Michael Hiestand of USA TODAY.
So for those in the teal/green regions, you might still be getting the RRS if you try flipping over to ESPN. I guess you have a 50/50 shot. Last week, Comcast Houston received the Wisconsin game (and unfortunately, not the Cal-Oregon matchup).
I remember..
I attended my first two years of undergrad at Northern Illinois University. I was stuck watching games such as Indiana-Northwestern and Iowa-Minnesota, while there were plenty of great games on in the rest of the country. These were the things that caused me to move back home to Texas. Sadly, my friends that are in graduate school up there now have to watch Iowa-PSU. Tragic.
That and...
the fact that I was in Dekalb, Illinois.
When is ABC going to realize ...
... that even Georgia Tech games aren't that big a deal in Atlanta, much less N.C. State and Florida State battling for ... what, exactly, I don't know.
Sigh. I feel real sorry for Longhorn fans, but I'd like to see the game out of a general interest in CFB.
Hopeful in NYC
When I heard that Texas-ou was a regional game, I figured we'd never get it up here in Manhattan. Your map gives me hope. Checking my local, WABC-TV listings, it says "Teams TBA." Thing is, I don't know if I dare to look.
That's a lot of TV sets
I hope the horn's bring their swagger to Dallas 'cause there's going to be a lot of eyeballs watching this game.
I'n in NYC Saturday for a wedding
Can anybody confirm the broadcast there?
Go Horns !
Like NYCHorn
my satellite system also says "TBA" for that time slot. I ASSUME we'll get that game, but to know for sure, you'd probably have to call the local ABC affiliate.
Side note: it also says "TBA" for the Florida/LSU time slot, and I can't imagine we won't get that game.

Look at Massachusetts
My tiny home state split into three viewing bands for no discernible reason. You could travel through all three bands in less than three hours, and yet one of these areas is supposedly Big 10 country, one is Big 12 country, and one is ACC country. Weird.

Finally
Hope this map is right. Living in Victoria, BC, this is the first Texas game I have had a chance to watch all year. Let us all pray that I don't want to turn it off by halftime.
Usually there is some lame Pac 10 game that gets shown in Seattle, which is all I can get here. I will admit, however, that last week's Cal - Oregon matchup was a lot better than watching Texas get hosed. I can't even get Direct TV or any other decent satellite coverage here, as Canada has outlawed those. Satellite sports coverage here just means 20 hockey games on at once instead of 3 or 4 on cable.

what
was I think when I moved to Minnesota 20 years ago? Why didn't someone stop me?
Why have I stayed here all these years?
Most of all, why didn't I buy the damned ESPN Gameplan shit this season (again)?
