BONers in Oklahoma
I'm looking for an assessment of how the OU community is dealing wiht last week's loss and a general sense of Coach Stoops' approval rating.
I haven't read much about it, but their fanbase must have been crazier this week than we've been. They essentially blew what many considered to be the "easiest" path the NC game.
So what's the confidence level for this week? Have they spent all week talking about Texas, or have they been wasting effort bitching about last week? Is there a lot of confidence in Stoops? Or have they figured out that Stoops has lost like 6 out of his last 8 Big Games or so?
Just looking for a little reconnaissance from those of you who are behind enemy lines. I ask only because I've no idea otherwise, and I believe that this has the potential to affect tomorrow's outcome.

It's been a weird TX/ou week here...
There has been very little smack talk. 54b brought it up earlier in the week about the mood in Dallas. The game has had very little of the fire it has had in the past. Even the Sports Animal here has not played the game up that much (only listen on the morning and afternoon drive). Some talk on CM's head, but not the normal crap I've heard over the past 8 years. It's been weird.

Everyone is hunkered down on both sides.
While the keyboardist haven't been completely silent with regard to the Horns, we've had a pretty good idea of the flaws, although no one saw the special teams breaking down for two TDs. The 21 points in returns did the dirty deed, although there were plenty of ugly stuff on the field.
The Sooners had a team collapse. They seem to be scratching their heads and wondering how in the hell it happened. So, they ain't talking much nor is the okie trash jamming up cyberspace with their normal braggadocio bullshit.
Very eerie and quiet, quite weird in terms of the normal OU hyperbole, as Bevoboy94 notes. No one quite knows what to expect tomorrow.
Both coaches have had visits in their dreams from the Ghosts of Past Failures and both sets of natives have been busy collecting fire wood (although one of those just tore up the trailer house furniture).
So, we don't know if the Mack and the coaches have a clue, much less have made needed corrections; don't know if VY laid down the smack on how it should be and they all listened; we don't even know who will show up at QB. We just know what time to crawl out of the cave.

Quiet...
I post on "The Sporting News" boards under this handle as well... and the Sooner faithful aren't coming out to play much when it comes to smack this year.
Really no one knows what to expect and so everyone is quiet I think. I think they are just as unsure as we are. We were all being really uncharacteristically nice to each other earlier in the week over the losses and even when some people tried to "light it up" the fire died down quickly. Its eeeeire out there.

Radio turned it up a bit tonight...
it seemed but again nowhere near what it has been in the past. Jim Trabor is normally talking total ou domination of our boys, but while he thinks we are bad (and in some ways we have all said that) it is not even close to his normal BS. On a scale of 1 - 10 for shit talking (1 being the hype we have for the Rice game and 10 being the longest five years of my life before VY delivered us to the promised land), this years shit talk is only about a 2.
