Ryan Perrilloux, Suspended

Backup Louisiana State linebacker Derrick Odom was charged with a misdemeanor Wednesday, accused of smashing a car window after a brawl at a nightclub last week.
Coach Les Miles kicked Odom off the team.
Odom faces one count of simple criminal damage to property, according to Baton Rouge, La., police. He was involved in a fight at the Varsity nightclub near LSU's campus early Friday, left the club and was caught on video when he returned an hour later and smashed an SUV window, police said.

A call to Odom's lawyer, Anthony Bertucci, wasn't immediately returned.
Miles said Odom was dismissed, as was walk-on linebacker Jeremy Benton.
Odom and backup quarterback Ryan Perrilloux, who also was in the fight, were barred from practice this week. Perrilloux, meanwhile, will remain on the team but will not play Saturday when No. 3 LSU faces No. 17 Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Miles said.
He said that decision was made because Perrilloux has missed the "lion's share" of practice this week.
Perrilloux wasn't charged in the brawl.

Papa Perrilloux?
From the Times-Picayune:
The fight, which Bertucci described as "a rugby scrum," was precipitated by Perrilloux's and Odom's obstreperous refusal to leave the club at closing time, according to bouncers interviewed by police, and by the harassment employees directed at the players and their pregnant girlfriends because they're African American, according to what Perrilloux and Odom told three patrol officers called to the scene.
If so, I hope for his sake that he figures things out within the next 9 months. Because Miles will never kick Perrilloux off of the team, I would like to see UT vs. LSU for the MNC for '08 and '09, where Kindle, Houston, Jones, et al. smash him into the ground repeatedly. This will possibly be the only chance he has to clear out his arrogant, criminal behaviors.

Love how the LB's got the boot but the repeat
offender QB got a one game suspension.

As much as I have
contempt for "Perrilloser," it should be pointed that he was implicated in the fight, whereas Odom was caught on tape damaging someone's car, something he has apparently done three times within the past few months (guess he has a fetish). However I did find it somewhat suspicious as well; the fact that Odom hasn't recorded a single tackle this year (according to lsusports.com) suggests that, although a 4-star recruit, he wasn't an integral part of the defense and perhaps easier to let go.
Regardless, looks like Perrilloux will have to win 2 Heismans his JR and SR years to fulfill his prediction.

If it was just Odom
who got the boot then I would accept this rationale. But the walk on who got into the fight also got the boot, and he did not damage a car.

Re:
For some reason, I posted this in the Reggie Bush diary, but it's worth reading for some EDSBS hilarity..
