Top 25 Draft Ballot
So much good football left in the final weeks, with plenty of opportunities to turn this thing on its head.
I love it.

Texas Tech's...
....victory over OU should have given them Arkasns' spot. They are the better 4-loss team

The Big 12 is just terrible !
Remember that sentiment ? I do not see either Oregon, or Florida being ranked above Texas. I also have trouble seeing Ohio State in the top ten. The Big 10 has been a sham this year more than any other conference !
My top ten for what it's worth
- LSU
- Kansas
- Missou
- West Virginia
- Arizona State
- Georgia
- VT
- Oklahoma
- Texas
- Oregon

?
I dont see your reasoning for OU or Texas in the top ten. OU has a loss to Cu, who is mediocre as hell. Texas really hasn't beaten anyone. You would put five two loss teams over Ohio State? Thats a joke. They have 5 wins over bcs teams with at least 7 wins, compared to say, Lsu's 3.

Wow......
What does Clemson do every year?....they always start out the season very promising and then just kind of fade away! I know last season Will Proctor was pretty much terrible, but this new kid doesn't look that bad (not that good either)...I guess Tommy Bowden just gets tired of football come November!

That meltdown last Saturday was awful
Clemson made about 3 or 4 ridiculous mistakes in the last minute and a half to lose that game; erase any sinlgle one of those mistakes, and they probably win.
The only reason I bring this up is because BC is still overrated, even at 18. I keep reading about these gutsy Matt Ryan comebacks for Boston College, but those writers clearly didn't actually watch any of those games. Both Virginia Tech and Clemson handed wins to BC.

Clemson
Can you imagine being a fan of this team? Must be so, so miserable. Always a 4-1 or 5-0 start. Throw in a couple dumpy conference losses, plus a loss to a better team, and they're guaranteed to have at least 3 losses come Turkey Day. As safe a bet as there is in sports.

I don't buy ASU
I won't be sold on them in the top 5 unless they beat SC thursday. Even then, I still think Mizzou and WF'nV are better.
just an uneducated opinion, though, as I haven't seen them play more than 30 minutes this season. But having to hold on dearly against UCLA is ugly.

A few short weeks ago
I couldn't see Texas beating a handful of the teams in the top 20.
Now I don't see anyone that the Horns couldn't compete with in the Top 20 and very few I'd be afraid to face in the top 10.
Sure, the Horns ain't the pretty face at the dance - but they do know how to dance now.

Actually the Horns have
looked quite lovely over the last couple of weeks. Profiecient on defense...um...no (injury problems explain only part of the generosity).
Generally, though, I agree that the Horns have developed some very attractive punch and could certainly, with the right game plan, give any team in the Top 10 problmes. With a little help from our friends in Stillwater, perhaps we might soon get a chance to do so.

Virginia and UConn...
...have gaudy 9 win records, but haven't really accomplished too much. UConn was a blown call away from losing to Temple. Yeah, they beat South Florida, but how much is that really worth? Virginia's best win was probably against the Huskies (17-16)and kicked off the season by losing by 20 at Wyoming.
Both teams face big challenges this weekend with conference championship implications at stake. Virginia will be visited by Virginia Tech and UConn travels to Morgantown to face the Mountaineers. If either or both can pull off their respective upsets this weekend, I will be sure to pat them on their back. But as of now, I'm taking a wait-and-see attitude towards both squads.

I vote to move Texas into the top 10...
...as a birthday present to PB. Happy birthday.

Texas above Florida
only problem I have with the poll. I still don't buy Missouri or KU. Missouri got beat by the only good team they played--handily. Kansas hasn't played anybody. The Big 12 North representing this year is just a mirage of awful scheduling. But it did shut up the whole "flyover USA" contingent. Neither KU or Mizzou beats the South winner.

"Handily"?
Missouri was winning that game entering the fourth quarter. Daniel and Maclin (I think it was Maclin) fumbled a hand off, OU took it in for 6, and things snowballed from there. It was a very competitive game up to that point.

I live in Columbia, MO
and i get free tickets to every tigers game. They Are Very Good. Chase Daniel can do anything and is the Heisman frontrunner. Maclin, the do-it-all player who returns kicks/punts, runs out of the backfield, and is becoming one of the best recievers in the country and is one of the top 3 fastest men in College Football at 6'1". The offense can match up with anybody and the defense is suprising.
Don't get me wrong, if Texas advances to face MU in the Big 12 title, then I definently root for UT, but MU is my hometown and they haven't done anything like this in my life, the energy here is great.
