A glimmer of hope for us. In a recent article, the Statesman reported that inside sources had said Mack is very dissatisfied about the way his staff has performed and is considering a rebuild of his entire staff.
If some of the things they wrote about Mack in here are true, I would call off the dogs on him.
Inside sources have said Brown is so dissatisfied that he will consider a staff change.
Of course, Brown's entire staff should be on notice every season. It's that highly paid, and it — like Brown himself — ought to be accountable. He was so mad after the 41-21 loss to Kansas State, he had the entire staff report to work at 7 a.m. Sunday.
I'm not trying to exonerate anyone here but perhaps Mack really is thinking hard about some big coaching changes.
Let's hope so.
