Nutt
Purely hypothetical about Nutt

I realize that Nutt is the epitome of everything evil (anti-UT), but how is this as a hypothetical question:
Would you consider hiring Nutt to be our OC?
I'm not even speculating that this could possibly happen. But Nutt has been the architect of several offensive schemes always putting his best playmakers in the best position.
Could you imagine what he could do with a cha-cha offense (chiles and charles)?

Absolutely not!
The man is an idiot who chased his only good offensive coordinator away in 1 year.

What a great way...
... to ensure that Chiles never develops as a passer. We need someone who can run an offense with Colt and Chiles. Separately, together, whatever. Do not let the bread go bad before it rises.

Finally, let's discuss possible OC's should Mack
see the light and can GD.
Nutt would never work. First of all, I never see him taking an OC job. He has had success and will get a HC job somewhere, even if it is in C-USA or worse. One good year there and he will be a hot name again (See Dennis Ericson). Also, the man really hates Texas. He is a good big game coach though and I really hope he doesn't land in the Big 12 because he can beat us with less talent (did it once, and almost twice in the last few years).
I want to look at Gus Malzahn, the guy he canned. He has helped turn Tulsa into a powerhouse offense in his first year since Nutt canned him.
Major is an obvious option, but I don't see him leaving Nick Saban unless he gets a HC job he wants (which he might get as early as this season with all the openings).
Can't we just hire whoever Florida's offensive coordinator is?

I'm pretty sure...
Tebow makes everyone look good. Doesn't he run like 20+ times per game and throw 25+? Geez.

Dan Mullen?
He'll be a head coach soon probably. Good idea though.

Nutt will never be welcomed
Screw him. I still remember him doing the upside down hook 'em horns sign in the 2000 Cotton Bowl. I have this weird hunch that he's going to end up at Nebraska. Anyways, we do need a better OC but we all know Mack will never let GD go. The best we can hope for is a co-offensive coordinator. That or we somehow land Terrell Pryor and he ends up being VY part II.

God no
I was talking to people today about wanting Gus Malzahn as OC here. He does such a good job with his balanced offense. They just wear teams out with pace.

Cha-Cha Offense?
If you are going to go with Chiles and Charles, then GD could probably do an adequate job himself. But first, Chiles would have to develop some sort of passing threat.
