Okie State
This is how it ALWAYS starts, for the last few years at least. Relax, this team is tough and they'll bounce back.

Yeah
Things have been hard this year... too bad they have to start out this bad at Stillwater. We just need to pull off of the experience of all the adversity we've hhad already this year.

Were they deflected, what gives?
by the1austin on Nov 3, 2007 2:59 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
ints
one was bad, one was the result of a big hit on the receiver
by FutureMan on Nov 3, 2007 3:00 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
the
1st was a bad overthrow; 2nd was hit out of the hands of nate jones as he caught it.
by robis726 on Nov 3, 2007 3:00 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Colt INTS
1st was on UT's 1st play right to the defender
2nd was right in Nate Jones' hands and a bad ass hit popped the ball into the air and an OSU dove to intercept it... I mean a bad ass hit
by FreedomDip on Nov 3, 2007 3:01 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
should be only 1
the second was possessed & then knocked out.

I don't like today's vibe
Iowa State whipping KSU .. Kansas embarrassing Nebraska .. the historically downtrodden seem to be taking out years of frustration .. I hope that is not what we see unfolding in Stillwater
by NYCHorn on Nov 3, 2007 3:00 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
one bad, one not so
one was thrown right too an OSU player and returned for a TD
the second wasn't his fault, receiver lost control of the ball on a big hit

by Bdub on Nov 3, 2007 3:20 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
They are prepared to go for two
every PAT, they can assess the match-up along the line and audible for a two-point conversion. It DOES actually work sometimes.

Yeah it does. We've been there for awhile now. Welcome to the club. Sucks.
We may have beat these guys, but our team sucks, we have no consistancy or creative play calling.

that this coaching staff is penn state south?
I have never seen such a waste of talent year after as we see in Texas. I never wanted to believe that Vince was everything but I am having trouble seeing otherwise. We have no consistency, no discernible schemes and we are so pig headed about upperclassroom it is comical.
The next time I see Colt walk of the field clapping after a bad series I am going to hurl.

They're not over pursuing as earlier
I wonder if that was part of Mack's tirade.
by whills on Nov 3, 2007 3:57 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
He has to attack the QB and force the pitch
I learned that in Pop Warner

Has anyone ever thought about starting Muckleroy ahead of Bobino and Derry? It might be a good idea.

but at the same time?

That stupid drag to Nate Jones on 3rd and 6 where we throw it for 2 yards on a blitz. Never works.

The quarterback is back pedaling because HE IS LOOKING FOR THE SCREEN.
by milevin on Nov 3, 2007 4:04 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
handy rule of thumb:
if Bobino can get into the backfield before a pass is released, it's a screen.

Covering the TE is basic on the goal line. Dammit.
by whills on Nov 3, 2007 4:16 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
So?
He didn't get a first down so the clock doesn't stop. Gundy didn't appear to signal for a time-out until they had put the time back on the clock.

that just blows, all the momentum we built with sold play just disapperas with that last drive. Great move by OSU going into the half, it's back to being "their" game now.
Fuck

you can't go back in time
and say we SHOULD'VE blown it down then
that's not right
by abcdmetrius on Nov 3, 2007 4:17 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
what are you all complaining about?
they clearly made the right call on the clock. there were 2 or 3 seconds left when he went down and it was a first down so the clock stops. then OSU took a timeout. calm the fuck down.
by billyzane on Nov 3, 2007 4:17 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Calm the fuck down?
Seriously, you are the one getting bent outa shape because of something I said. I use this to help vent some of my frustration. Plus, I'm not the only one here that has said something about the officiating, so why not tell them to calm the fuck down?
by kirk1005 on Nov 3, 2007 4:20 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs

by FutureMan on Nov 3, 2007 4:25 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
He still was short of the first down
So the clock shouldn't have started. The penalty gave them a first down, not the play.
by Bob LaBlog on Nov 3, 2007 4:27 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
You're right ...
Defense still could have made a play at end of half to keep it 21-14
by FreedomDip on Nov 3, 2007 4:28 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
really?
i don't think that was the case. the extra 2 inches from the penalty game them a first down? i'm pretty sure they had it from the pass seeing as they were about half a yard from a touchdown before the penalty.
i'd have to go back and check to be sure though. regardless, if that wasn't a first down, then you have to measure that and if the refs had blown it dead when they should have, then OSU could have just take its timeout.
by billyzane on Nov 3, 2007 4:31 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
not true
the play gave them a first down. clock stops. shitty coverage, but proper call.
by cracka on Nov 3, 2007 4:52 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
They were nearly a yard short
The penalty gave them half the distance to the goal which became a first down.
by Bob LaBlog on Nov 3, 2007 5:08 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
that's not true
i just watched the game again on Tivo. Sorry. You're wrong. the first down marker was at the 5 or 6 yard line and he got to the 1. Go back and watch it again.

Second Half
Since Texas obviously played all second and third string in the first half, will they let the first stringers play in the second?

on the OSU goal posts.

SECOND HALF OPEN THREAD
This one's getting laggy.
Head on over.
Also: FUCK
by Peter Bean on Nov 3, 2007 4:18 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Its a matter
of them screwing up on numerous calls and not checking to make sure they made the right call before blowing the whistle. Thats what I am complaining about. Have you not watched the game except for that play?
by kirk1005 on Nov 3, 2007 4:18 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
uh....
boys, the refs sucked on the fumble call, but that worked out ok for us in the end. And as much as I hate to say it, 2 seconds was the right call. (yes, yes, I know that usually they just call it a half at that point).
Bigger issues than the refs:
Colt throwing and UGLY int
Going 3 and out after we actually do get a turnover
D playing VERY inconsistent
and our favorite whipping boy, LBs suck
by Crash on Nov 3, 2007 4:20 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
True. Never depend on refs on the road.
We're still over pursuing. Playing this offense straight up is the key. Do that and we can stop much of the run and some portion of the passes.
by whills on Nov 3, 2007 4:22 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
D
Can we please for the love of Carl Reese stop someone on 3rd down?
by mattyj on Nov 3, 2007 4:21 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
maybe it's the beer
but i have a good feeling about the second half. between BPU's awful defense and the perceived fuck job from the refs, we will rally and kick ass in the second half. we get the ball, we score, the defense steps up...maybe?
by FutureMan on Nov 3, 2007 4:22 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Refs did get it right
On that OSU punt return for TD ... didn't they call it back for illegal block?
Quit crying

CBS announcer just said the dumbest thing ...
As Glenn Dorsey lay on the field after an awkward hit, the analyst said, "Glenn Dorsey will be a top player in the NFL. Dorsey should not play another down for LSU this year. He's got too much of a future to play any more this year."
WHAT?
