Pelini to Nebraska
According to ESPN.com, Nebraska has chosen Bo Pelini as their new head coach. I know this isn't a shock to anyone, but I figured I'd post it anyway.

Safe choice for Osborne
You read any Cornhusker message board and the first thing you hear them bitch about is defense (one of their idiot fans even sent threats to their old DC)...they've always been accostomed to grind it out offenses that don't score a lot, but watching the Black Shirts give up all those points this season was simply a tresspass they couldn't forgive.
Pelini will start with the D which is probably smart (Mack would be wise to do the same).
As bad as the offenses in the Big XII were in 2006, we should see some real fireworks next year with all these experienced QBs returning to lead Junior and Senior laden teams. Unless I'm mistaken, I think Mizzou, KU, and OU return just about every starter on both sides of the ball (unless they lose players to the NFL).
Defense will be the name of the game in 2007. Hoping to win by simply scoring a ton of points will be a fool's errand, especially when you're plahying on the road.
