Colt + Chiles = VY?
Well that is too much to ask for, but you have to admit that Colt has the ability to be as good a collegiate passer as VY and Chiles has VY-caliber running skills.
Replacing VY's leadership is another story...
However, I'd love to see Chiles get one third of the playing time next year. Every third series in the first half and then in the 2nd half play Colt if you are behind and Chiles if you are ahead and grinding it out. That gives us a two headed monster - QB #1 and #1A and some insurance against injuries.
Problem is you will never surprise a defense with Colt passing or Chiles running. OTOH you will ALWAYS surprise the defense with Colt running (as we are seeing) and Chiles passing (as we need to see).
Could make for an exciting next two years.

Colt already is a better passer
IMO, Colt is a better passer than VY. I don't, i like Chiles but i don't think he should get 1/3 of the snaps. I am just not that impressed with Chiles.

Colt=Chance?
Sometimes it seems to me like the initial intention with Colt was to be a good-not-great quarterback to fill a vacancy while the other stud recruit quarterbacks were readied. Unfortunately (read: ironically) for the coaches, Colt ended up being pretty great so the transition to Harris (initially) or Chiles as play-caller became way harder to justify.
