on breaking records
why do we expect people to be gracious when someone is about to break their records?
why do we expect people to be gracious when someone is about to break their records?
i mean honestly ... people are competitive ... they play to be great and if they set records that means their number one
when someone breaks it they can no longer compete and it's like dang it
of course over time variables change, game numbers, styles, sorry teams
i'm just sitting here and they keep talking about the guy from ucf about to break barry sanders record
and why should barry be nice about it

Because it is the classy thing to do
I'm pretty sure most guys that get their records broken are pissed of on the inside, but when you come out in public you need to be classy and say the right things. It is just the way our society operates.
I bet Hank Aaron wanted to say "f**k that huge head steroid taking, cheating POS" but he took the high road b/c it is the classy thing to do.
Remember the classic line "records are made to be broken."

I thought you were talkin about the Pats
Mercury Morris has been pretty entertaining the last month+ but his time in the sun has again come to an end. His schtick is getting old, and I'm annoyed espn has given him so much airtime.
But whatever brings in the viewers i guess.

I thought you were talking about the pats also
but we can still use them as an example. The perception of the dolphins is in the toilet because of how ungracious they were when Indy came close and then again this year.
That's why you should be gracious.
