does it mean a QB change too
Does that mean the QB position is up for grabs too? That will be interesting though if it is! If not then I hope for the last game they play Chiles for atleast some portion of the game!

Just cause he said it...
doesn't mean anything will change. Cause if the coaches have been basing playing time all year on experience and "putting in your time" then nothing will change. If they didn't base PT on talent before why should we believe they'll do it now? I feel like I've heard this before and at the most one or two minor changes happen. And why wouldn't you have that mentality all the time? Wouldn't that kind of competitiveness allow for players to constantly be looking to improve, and pushing them to get better so they keep their jobs or can overtake someone?

An encouraging first step..
But if Muck, Kindle, and Norton aren't starting against ASU we will know that these are just watered down statements.

It would be nice
This is a motivational tactic meant to light a fire under guys who have already hit their ceiling.

Well, if DeLoss said the same thing
I'd find that entertaining. Same fire, different asses.

Yeah, right.
I'm sure Mack is going to play a senior ahead of more talented backups all year just because he's a senior and then all of the sudden he's going to sit the guy for his last bowl game, his last college game, and for his last football game ever(cause if he should have been sitting he ain't going pro). That'll be the day.
Mack is Lloyd Carr, he has the one championship, can rarely beat strong rival OU (tOSU for Mich) and is now losing to weak rival ATM (MSU for Mich). He and his coaches will rest on their laurels until they feel real heat in a few years and then they will set themselves up for the retirement year and leave with the program in tatters, perhaps with a Rice or Baylor loss to rival the Appalachian State fiasco. We should start calling him Mack Carr.
I like Mack in general, but see no hint these last two years that he and his staff are willing to put in the work necessary or make the tough decisions.

Please
Please do not become kentucky fans!! I live in Lexington, and hear everything the coaches go through. From Rich Brooks to Tubby Smith to Billy Gillispie. Mack Brown is genuine and a HELLUVA COACH. His loyalties to his assistants may be his achillies. I will tell you right now, no other coach would have won that Rose Bowl. Keep Mack, hire #11 at OC, find a DC and win DAMMITT!
