From Rick Barnes, on Gary Johnson's medical clearance and how it will affect his other freshmen.

With Johnson returning, Barnes had a warning for freshman forwards Clint Chapman and Lexi Wangmene, whom Barnes has been chiding lately for defensive and rebounding lapses.

"Clint and Lexi, when the reality of it settles in, they're going to have to change, because I'm not going to change," Barnes said. "They're going to have to do some things consistently. If they do, they can help us. Otherwise, they'll sit, and they'll watch."

Lexi must help us

With his freakishly long arms, he is really the only true big guy we have that could play good defense on other scoring big men, like Butch, Jordan, Love, Hibbert, and Hansbrough. If he puts his arms up, he can change a lot of shots, if not block them.

He looks the part

Wingman looks like a great athlete but he doesn't seem to really get basketball yet. I don't know how long he had played but he needs a lot of development. I notice that Barnes says nothing negative about Pittman and Pittman actually played in the Wisconsin game. I guess Barnes is more pleased with Pittman's development.

No disrespect to him.

Lexi and Clint must be close to getting it. Barnes doesn't push hard (in public) unless he thinks he can get something out of it. Investment time is about to close down with conference.
