Just CSTV?
This sucks. Probably the only channel I don't have...
Any other way to get video?
Apparently They're Streaming The Game
Yay Rice.
Holy Crap, They're CHARGING?
Thank you, CSTV. Hope you die a horrible, horrible bankruptcy death.
Can I use your ID?
...big brother?
Plus they don't let me watch...
... with mozilla.
Texas Ivy League my ass...
Man, CSTV Is As Bad As The NFL Network
What good is a broadcast when noone can see it? FSN is going with the Mavs, shiite.
for some reason time warner out here
added CSTV before ESPNU. Guess it was a lot cheaper.

I like CSTV
Much rather have it on CSTV than Fox Sports Southwest, so guys up here in Virginia get to watch the game.
Well, There's That
I'd much rather the horns had a contract with local affiliates in Houston and Dallas that carried their road games. But I'm sure the money's better selling it to cable. Oh well.
What's on CSTV right now?
I have a green screen and something about Bo Jackson's thigh.
Run, Bo, Run!
All the way to New York, pick up the Heisman, then run back for the fourth quarter!
Entertaining me while Bo Jackson is on...
Ah, Tom Penders
The most entertaining moments of my childhood involved racing back to the parking garage from the Erwin Center with my Dad so we could hear Tom Penders' post-game interview on the radio. Especially after losses to bad teams, Tom would just say the most ridiculous shit.
After a loss to Stephen F Austin? "Well, you know, the Lumberjacks are a great team. They're gonna be there in March..."
God that was frustrating...
i think...
jeff capel said that exact thing this afternoon.

Being Sloppy Is Slowing Us Down
Not playing to our strengths the first 4 minutes...
Nice! Hit The 3, Make Them Cover Everyone
And it will all work out according to Greg's plan, heh heh heh. /evil
NICE
had to order some effing sports package from TW. only 3.95/month. just in time to see us go on a run.
a lot of and-1s so far.
hahaha
rice is good at slapstick comedy. that pratfall was a 10

You can't stop Dexy
When he catches the ball there. Great game from him so far.
DJ is ridiculous...
only Dexy can stop Dexy
you see him calling for a sub when he was shooting the FT?

33-14 Texas < 8:00 timeout
Mostly good from the Horns, especially in the last six minutes. Connor's not playing very well right now, but James, Augustin, Abrams, and Mason have all played solidly. DJ's been amazing. Dexy giving us a great four minute run.
Nice play there
Connor moves into the middle, his a pretty little hook. Then plays great defense on the other end. Attaboy Connor.
Arrrggghhh! Make The Frees
Dammit dammit dammit. We can nail this coffin in the first half.
WingMan is impressive
Really fun to watch him do different things.
And he's got a beautiful stroke from the line. Take notes, JD.
Good stuff
Texas up 46-26 at the < 4:00 timeout. Lots to like so far. Some minor annoying things, but overall an impressive first half.
Gave up on CSTV stream...
... Found CSTV radio, but you'll never believe this... It's just the audio from TV... Oh my God...
Switching to Craig Way now. Much better.
Ticky Tack Home Cookin
Anyone see the alleged foul on DJ? Not me.
Bah
Hate that I can't watch the game. The digital cable in my dorm isn't working. On FSN, it's A&M vs Texas State. Right now it's A&M up 50-26.

Nobody Got Hurt, And Our Cheerleaders Are Hot
I'll take that. Beats watching the KState game in the rain.
The rain was the best part...
... when it quit, everyone quit going crazy.
It's Called 'Sobering Up', Unfortunately
Damn I hate sitting on the west side. Place is a morgue. :(
47-29 Horns at half
About what you'd expect, I suppose.
We got 7 or 8 really solid minutes out of Dexy, James continues to be quietly great, and DJ is, once again, the best player on the floor.
Speaking of which, I would mind seeing Texas rest DJ as much as possible in the second half...
PB
Do you stream "the zone" radio when you can't get video? When was the last time you heard Craig Way?
Yeah
Craig Way's usually good - he can be a little much at times. Eddie Oran is better than he used to be, but still awful.
That's good that you get to hear him...
My favorite Craig Way moments are
#1.) Hearing him call Dusty Mangum's game winner against Michigan
#2.) Playing a rugby game during the Texas-OSU game this year, turning on the car thinking we'd already lost the game, and then hearing the 'Horns drive down the field and kick the game winner.
He makes kicking exciting!
Tebow wins the Heisman!!!
Jamaal has a shot next year!
Did they finally get around to announcing it?
It was like the super bowl pregame show. i did switch over and notice billy sims acting like an idiot. can't say i was shocked.

No Kidding, I Was Expecting Wardrobe Failure
On the other hand (this one), if it was one of Tebow's trollops... errr, 'ladies' maybe that's not a bad thing.
the lumberjacks are a great team
that'll be there in march. poignant, eh?

Puts Taking Care Of Rice In Perspective
Win the games you should, win half the games you shouldn't. Go to the tourney. And don't lose to Maryland (ack!).
No surprise...
Have you seen SFA's mascot? They brought their cheer squad for a pep rally for our high school's football team once when we made it pretty far into the playoffs, and their mascot is basically Paul Bunyan. Not a suit, either. Like... Paul Bunyan. Probably 6' 8" or 9", and absolutely huge. Has an awesome beard, carries a huge ax. Doesn't get much better than that.
you think they offer a scholarship
for their mascots? that would be sweet.

Why can't we play in the second half?
We're going to blow a game...
... playing like this in the second half. Some random game... hope it's not in the tournament.
Hey look it's North Texas all over again
Now Rice can get within 9 if they make the and 1.

And we CAN score in the second half!
For people watching the game
How many Longhorn fans are at the game?
by goingforthecorner on Dec 8, 2007 8:31 PM CST reply actions
At least two...
My little brother is seeing his first Bball game since LSU last year with his friend.
From The TV View (lower deck)...
... it seems to be mostly a horns crowd. As it should be. Nothing but love for Rice BUT.
Rice is my favorite opponent
i just like kids that are going to graduate and be productive citizens.

And 1st Basemen... Except For Last Year Maybe
Hoot Hoot! Go Big Puma.
Even Lance's bad years
99% of players would've loved to have his numbers last year.
by goingforthecorner on Dec 8, 2007 8:46 PM CST up reply actions
Exactly! His Off Year Is Somone Else's...
... career year.
There's an hilarious podcast of his sit-in with a local station. That is the funniest dude that never gives interviews, freaking hilarious.
War Fat Puma
Sorry to digress
but Ed Wade is building a beast. Go 'stros!

I'm Cautiously Optimistic
Bourn letting Pence move to his natural position, speed at the top of the lineup, no more Ausmus at the bottom. I'm not going to say 'beast' just yet, but they're improving. There's no pitching available to sign, but that's true for everyone, so maybe it evens out.
I'm sure Peter doesn't mind an off-topic Astros hijack. :)
it's december
the astros are always contenders in december!

Yup. It's Chocking In October That Hurts, Though
I live and die with the 'stros. And horns football.
Dammit.
You and I
share the same illness. I feel sorry for you.

Sounds like...
... DJ is taking a beating.
Why can't we play well enough after the half to beat crappy teams with 20 point leads without DJ?
Maybe I just feel like that...
... because Craig is making it sound like we're playing like crap. Lead's back to twenty, but until now he's been moping.
Lack Of Finishing? Killer Instinct? Easing Up?
We've seen this from other 'horns teams. Blehhhhh.
No, Never In Doubt
But at some point it would be nice to see the Complete Domination aspect, just to awe the east coast media. A complete beat-down, get off the field/court/whathaveyou that devastates the other program.
But then, I might be biased. And running it up is never classy (i.e., uh/tulsa)
HOLY DAMION!
18 points, 17 rebounds.
DJ Augustin and AJ with 18 points also
by goingforthecorner on Dec 8, 2007 8:53 PM CST reply actions
really like Damion's game
let us all give thanks for kelvin's transgressions.

Barnes
Barnes is so great. He is talking about James having 4 rebounds he didn't get (James 17 rebounds tonight). He is focusing so hard on our defense, especially rebounding.
