Just CSTV?

This sucks.  Probably the only channel I don't have...

Any other way to get video?

Growing up, I only fed Jared Norton paper. That's why he eats plays.

Try

riceowls.com

It may be on that according to the preview on Rice's website. Good luck.

Holy Crap, They're CHARGING?

Thank you, CSTV.  Hope you die a horrible, horrible bankruptcy death.

Man, CSTV Is As Bad As The NFL Network

What good is a broadcast when noone can see it?  FSN is going with the Mavs, shiite.

for some reason time warner out here

added CSTV before ESPNU.  Guess it was a lot cheaper.

I like CSTV

Much rather have it on CSTV than Fox Sports Southwest, so guys up here in Virginia get to watch the game.

by Texas Wahoo on Dec 8, 2007 6:42 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Well, There's That

I'd much rather the horns had a contract with local affiliates in Houston and Dallas that carried their road games.  But I'm sure the money's better selling it to cable.  Oh well.

What's on CSTV right now?

I have a green screen and something about Bo Jackson's thigh.

Ah, Tom Penders

The most entertaining moments of my childhood involved racing back to the parking garage from the Erwin Center with my Dad so we could hear Tom Penders' post-game interview on the radio. Especially after losses to bad teams, Tom would just say the most ridiculous shit.

After a loss to Stephen F Austin? "Well, you know, the Lumberjacks are a great team. They're gonna be there in March..."

God that was frustrating...

33-14 Texas < 8:00 timeout

Mostly good from the Horns, especially in the last six minutes. Connor's not playing very well right now, but James, Augustin, Abrams, and Mason have all played solidly. DJ's been amazing.  Dexy giving us a great four minute run.

--PB--

Nice play there

Connor moves into the middle, his a pretty little hook. Then plays great defense on the other end. Attaboy Connor.

47-29 Horns at half

About what you'd expect, I suppose.

We got 7 or 8 really solid minutes out of Dexy, James continues to be quietly great, and DJ is, once again, the best player on the floor.

Speaking of which, I would mind seeing Texas rest DJ as much as possible in the second half...

Do you stream "the zone" radio when you can't get video?  When was the last time you heard Craig Way?

Growing up, I only fed Jared Norton paper. That's why he eats plays.

by Horn Brain on Dec 8, 2007 7:54 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Yeah

Craig Way's usually good - he can be a little much at times. Eddie Oran is better than he used to be, but still awful.

--PB--

by PB @ BON on Dec 8, 2007 7:57 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

That's good that you get to hear him...

My favorite Craig Way moments are
#1.)  Hearing him call Dusty Mangum's game winner against Michigan
#2.)  Playing a rugby game during the Texas-OSU game this year, turning on the car thinking we'd already lost the game, and then hearing the 'Horns drive down the field and kick the game winner.

He makes kicking exciting!

Puts Taking Care Of Rice In Perspective

Win the games you should, win half the games you shouldn't.  Go to the tourney.  And don't lose to Maryland (ack!).

No surprise...

Have you seen SFA's mascot?  They brought their cheer squad for a pep rally for our high school's football team once when we made it pretty far into the playoffs, and their mascot is basically Paul Bunyan.  Not a suit, either.  Like... Paul Bunyan.  Probably 6' 8" or 9", and absolutely huge.  Has an awesome beard, carries a huge ax.  Doesn't get much better than that.

Sorry to digress

but Ed Wade is building a beast.  Go 'stros!

by FutureMan on Dec 8, 2007 8:57 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I'm Cautiously Optimistic

Bourn letting Pence move to his natural position, speed at the top of the lineup, no more Ausmus at the bottom.  I'm not going to say 'beast' just yet, but they're improving.  There's no pitching available to sign, but that's true for everyone, so maybe it evens out.

I'm sure Peter doesn't mind an off-topic Astros hijack.  :)

Why can't we play well enough after the half to beat crappy teams with 20 point leads without DJ?

No, Never In Doubt

But at some point it would be nice to see the Complete Domination aspect, just to awe the east coast media.  A complete beat-down, get off the field/court/whathaveyou that devastates the other program.

But then, I might be biased.  And running it up is never classy (i.e., uh/tulsa)
