Someone please tell me who this guy is:

I don't follow recruiting THAT closely, so I'm looking to PB or PHF to fill us in on our newest potential Horn.

I posted this earlier
So we got Brewster, I think we will get Hales and Aghayere, it's not clear we will go after another OT so Campbell may be out of luck. So that means there are at most two wild cards out there that the recruiting sites don't have on their radars, and will likely come from OOS. Brewster and Aghayere are the only "must haves" on the list, but I would imagine that Mack will try to find another stud DB. Otherwise, there are no real positions of need left, IMHO. There are rumors that Mack is recruiting a LB from Utah named Lynn Katoa, but I won't believe it until he signs on the dotted line next February, given our recent issues with OOS recruits (with apologies to Blaine Irby).
I am REALLY excited about Brewster, I think he will be a guy we're all talking about either at S or LB in two years. He will likely be a 5-star prospect on both of the recruiting services. Everyone raves about how smart and athletic he is, and he evidently hits like a Mack truck.

Re: Katoa
As for Brewster, he's good. He's been mentioned as the best Safety in High School this year. I haven't seen any video on him yet (I'm not so sure there is any yet), but I'm heard a few people speak of watching him play live and they left quite impressed. Rest assured - This is a great pick up for Mack.
One need I would love to see filled is at LB. There's a kid out of Kansas that is awesome! Arthur Brown. He'll be a 5* for sure. The thing is, his younger brother (who plays RB) is considered even better. That could be the best 2 for 1 deal ever! I'm hoping to see Mack go after this guy.
Sorry to be so long in this post, but there's a LOT going on right now in recruiting. Another kid to keep an eye on is Houston product Russell Shepard. Dude is amazing! OK, I'm not just talking about his skills either. He's just a fun kid. He has a myspace page and every day or so he updates his "Favorite" team. From the day he created it, it was Texas. With a VY highlight reel. Then he changed it to a&m. Then Florida. After that, the guys on Orangebloods.com caught on that he was just having fun with the recruiting process. Then a thread broke open about where he should say is his favorite next. The concensus was Boise State because they beat OU and that would just be hillarious. Guess who was next. BSU! Then he highjacked another users account (apparently a friend) and posted to everyone online. The title of his thread was "Wats up... It's Russell Shepard. Hook 'em all the way" It was confirmed that it was him and not someone pretending to be him, and he seems like a genuinely good kid. I can't wait to see him in Burnt Orange!

This Brewster kid is awesome,...
I believe we now have verbals from the following potential 5* recruits for 2008. Feel free to correct any mistakes or add updates.
- David Snow - - OL
- Dan Buckner - - WR
- Ryan Roberson - SLB
- Jeremy Hills - RB
- Tre Newton - - RB
- Nolan Brewster- S/DB
As "GoHorns" stated, the Katoa kid is definitely a HORN if Mack offers, and... I understand that Coach Mack did make that offer yesterday. Now, if we land DeSean Hales(WR) and Chancey Aghayere(DE), we're difinitely set. Daniel Campbell would be an added plus. As far as the Arthur Brown and Russell Shepard kids, I have to do some "catching up" on them. Good info,...

We're on the same page GoHorns,...
What's the best way for putting "a bug" in the coaching staff's ears regarding this Arthur Brown kid out of KS? The UT recruiting staff does an outstanding job every year. Still, it seems there are always a few, very solid recruits, that manage to fly under the radar. Jamaal Charles is a good example. Fortunately, the HORNS got Jamaal, but I don't recall him being highly recruited. He was simply "dangling out there".
