Horns Beat OU Again
Adrian Alaniz pitched a complete game, allowing only one run on three hits. He didn't walk anyone and struck out five. He's simply dominating opponents right now... With the win, Texas moves to 7-1 in Big 12 play on the year.

No surprise - lost on Sunday
This is a habit that they need to break real soon. Can we not find a reliable 3rd starter? Final score was 5-2 as both Russell and Suttle had quiet days.
"The win marked the first time the Sooners beat the Longhorns in Austin since the 1997 season, snapping a string of 15 consecutive home wins for Texas against Oklahoma. With the loss, the Longhorns are now 4-5 on Sundays and 21-4 during the remainder of the week."
Looks like it's down to Texas and OSU for the Big XII title, at least at this early stage. The Cowboys absolutely demolished Baylor in Stillwater, 15-5 14-7 and 10-5. We'll be lucky to get out of there with one win unless both Alaniz and Russell can shut down that offense.
In other top 10 action...
#1 FSU took 2 of 3 from lowly Duke
#3 Vandy took 2 of 3 from #2 South Carolina
Arizona swept #4 Oregon State
#5 UNC took 2 of 3 from Wake Forest
#6 Virginia swept Va Tech
#7 Arkansas swept Tennessee
#9 Rice swept Marshall
#10 Pepperdine swept St Mary's
In Big XII action...
The Aggies squeaked out 2 of 3 wins over the Huskers
KSU took 2 of 3 from Tech
Missouri edged Kansas in 2 of 3
With the Oregon State debacle in the desert, Texas should move up to #6 in the polls this week, maybe even #5 if the voters drop USC enough. If we keep up this pace, and get at least one win in Stillwater, Texas should easily end up in the top 8 and hosting a Super Regional, given that UNC still has to play FSU, Virginia still has to play #11 Clemson, and both Vandy and USC still have to play Florida.
