No invites to the McDonalds All-America game, but the guys are getting some exposure elsewhere:
"Longhorn recruit Alexis Wangmene will play for the World Select Team against the United States in the Nike Hoop Summit on April 7 in Memphis, his second invitation to a prestigious event. Wangmene, a 6-foot-8-inch forward, will also play in the Roundball Classic on April 3 in Chicago. A native of Cameroon, Wangmene spent two seasons at Central Catholic in San Antonio before transferring to Blair Academy in New Jersey for his senior year. Former Longhorn Royal Ivey, now with the Atlanta Hawks, played at Blair. So did NBA players Luol Deng and Charlie Villanueva.
Another Longhorn recruit, 6-7 forward Gary Johnson from Aldine, will play in the Jordan Classic in New York City on April 21. Longhorn freshman Kevin Durant was co-MVP of that game last year."
Any NYC-area Horns able to take in the Jordan Classic to give us a report?
