Breaking: Durant Turns Pro

I have it from multiple high level sources that Kevin Durant will announce he's giving up the remainder of his college eligibility to join the NBA. Both sources said a press conference will be announced tomorrow morning and that Durant would outline why he was leaving UT. He apparently has an agreement with Nike for $47 million that he will announce later in the week.

I asked my sources if there was any chance they could be mistaken, or if there was any chance Durant was actually calling the presser to announce he was staying. Both said the same thing to me: "April Fools' bitch."

when it became abundantly clear that we couldn't call women that.

I was calling my buddies "bitch" back in the mid-90's. It just seemed alternately non-sensical and extra-demeaning. At the time, it didn't even occur to me that there'd be an issue with straight guys saying it to each other...

... just the same as I have no issue with straight guys wearing pink.

It's just that back when I was in school (admittedly, the Dark Ages), straight guys did neither of these things. But that was long before the advent of the Metrosexual.

that you have no issue with straight guys wearing pink. i've been known to wear some pink in my time. and by some, i mean quite a lot. actually i got called out on it by a girl one time. but at least i know now that PHF doesn't think i'm usurping his style. and that's all i ever really wanted. My style...

... never has included pink, even back in the early 80's when Ralph Lauren came out with the first pink Polo dress shirt, and all the guys in my frat suddenly started wearing them. So you ain't usurpin' nothin', BZ.

My style generally includes lots of black, brown and navy blue, with an occasional wild tie now that I'm a Limey. And tons of Burnt Orange, goes without sayin'.

So don't go thinkin' I'm questioning your straight street cred.
