Kyle Russell broke Texas' school record for homers in a season after smashing his 21st of the year. He hit it with one out in the top of the 6th against Rice.
Currently the game is in the bottom of the inning, and Rice leads 4-2. You can keep track here

Texas up to #5 this week
... in the Baseball America poll. This was before the loss to Rice last night, of course, but I don't think that will affect us in the polls if we take care of business in Lincoln. I still think we win on Friday and Saturday and lose on Sunday.

Rivals Project Texas as the #1 Seed
I've got my Burnt Orange Sunglasses on, and even I wouldn't put this team in the top spot. Here's how they seed the teams:
- Texas
- Vanderbilt
- South Carolina
- Arkansas
- Rice
- Florida State
- aTm (!!!)
- Virginia
I also have no idea why this guy thinks the Aggies are a Top 8 team. But whatever. I would have Arizona and UNC in there instead of aTm and Virginia. I also would have Vandy as the top seed, and Texas around 4. The scary thing about how he has the Regionals paired up is that we would face Arizona in the Super Regional round. Not a good idea.

Rivals
I think the list is pretty accurate. I doubt they would want to put three SEC teams as the top three seeds (yeah I know they say they don't look at conference). Also, Virginia beat UNC two out of three at UNC, that's probably why they get the nod ahead of UNC.

Ok I'll grant you that
But the Aggies at 7? That has to be based solely on SOS from their OOC games, and not on how they have performed in Big XII play.
