Take a break from sports and consider something
Next year there will be a presidential election and as a U.S. citizen it is your "DUTY" to vote for the candidate that will best represent our country. I am putting forth a candidate that many on here have probably already voted for, his name is Ron Paul Peter Bean. Yes, the same Ron Paul Peter Bean that represented our Longhorn rooting interests. He is a voice of reason and honesty that seems to have been lost in politics sports. Well enough of my opinion, check him out and make your own www.ronpaul2008burntorangenation.com , thankyou
JRBTX - sorry to hijack your diary. I didn't want to delete it this time, but I'll make this diary serve as the official note that BON is more or less a politics-free zone. There are lots and lots of great spots on the web for discussing the political and legislative issues people are passionate about; we feel strongly this shouldn't be one of them. Political discussions will be deleted almost every time - even solid, non-pushy diaries like this one. It's not at all personal. Just an editorial decision to separate politics from Longhorn sports.--PB--

This won't last long
If I got gently prodded away from talking about public policy differences between Arkansas and Texas, I imagine this diary won't be long for this world. For any of you who enjoyed living at the 38th and Guadalupe three Congressional District intersection, Tom Delay is on the Colbert Report tonight.

Politics
Please, oh please, no one post any political rants about liberals or conservatives. Don't let this blog become like many of the others I once used to read.

Yes Sir
I believe in specialization. BON is a great Texas Sports site. There are numerous potically oriented and general topic sites out there that we can preserve the non-political nature of this page.

I wonder if this guy is from the campaign?
PB, when you delete this diary, let me know if you figure out where this guy is from.

Maybe Ron Paul delivered him
He is or was an obstetrician in Lake Jackson.

I'm convinced
Peter Bean has my vote. Great call in editing this post. I'm happy that this is a politics-free zone.

Keep an open mind
I'm waiting for AW to make his pitch before I pick my candidate.

although i am very pro Ron Paul
i realize he is kind of like voting for the smart dorky girl at the Beauty Pageant - "sorry Ma'am, we liked your answer on how you would save America, but this race is about looks, not substance."
Anyways, I agree that BON should be a politics free zone. PB, just make sure this gets enforced on both sides of the isle - not that you haven't been.

why did he put duty in quotes?
Is it not really our duty? Did he wink when he wrote it?

Funny stuff
I will say that it's funny that the ad for this diary is about getting Ann Coulter emails.

Apology
My Bad to BON, I really didn't think about a politics free zone and its probably best to keep it that way. I was inspired to do this because of the blatant smear campaign brought on by faux news and its neocons. I just wanted to spread awareness to as many people as possible about a person who can really change American policy and values. I won't rant anymore and will keep all entries strictly Longhorn and A&M/OU bashing. thanks
