BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU quarterback Ryan Perrilloux has been
suspended from the football team indefinitely after he was cited
for trying to illegally get on a riverboat casino in Baton Rouge, a
university spokesman said Tuesday.

Perrilloux, 20, was issued a misdemeanor summons by police after
allegedly trying to use his older brother's driving license to
enter the Hollywood Casino, sports information director Michael
Bonnette said.

The player was cited for one count of misrepresentation to gain
access and released, said Baton Rouge Police Cpl. L'Jean McKneely
said. Police were called to the casino about 5 p.m. Saturday by the
boat's security guards, McKneely said.

The minimum age to board a riverboat casino in Louisiana is 21.

Bonnette said Perrilloux could return to the team at Coach Les
Miles' discretion.

"The coach is going to monitor his situation," Bonnette said.
"He could return, but that's certainly not definite."

Perrilloux was one of the top football recruits in the country
in 2004. At the time of his suspension he was listed as the No. 2
quarterback by LSU behind Matt Flynn.

Perrilloux could not be reached for comment Tuesday. Directory
assistance did not have a listed telephone number for him.
