I noticed an article over on orangebloods by Gerry talking about the Horns' latest recruiting target--top prospect Greg Monroe. It is a ($) article, and I don't have a subscription. Can anyone with a Rivals subscription share the jest of that article? Where does Texas stand?

To respect the subscription thing, I'll leave out details or quotes, but basically, it's saying that Texas is definitely in contention for his services. As PB noted, he hasn't narrowed his list down or have a favorite, but he mentioned that he liked what the coaches did with KD.

That can't be bad for our chances.

"I haven't cut my list down," Monroe said. "The schools recruiting me the hardest are Louisville, Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, Texas, LSU, Florida and Georgetown. There isn't a leader."

While Monroe isn't ready to name the top programs in contention for his signature, the Texas Longhorn program has caught his eye.

"I just like the playing style and coaches. Watching Kevin Durant, they let him play his game," Monroe said.
