BON - an oasis in the middle of Virginia
I just wanted to thank everyone involved in BON and that includes the various commentators. When I graduated from UT in 2005 and decided to attend law school out east, I never realized how much I would miss UT sports. It's almost impossible to keep up with anything in the Big 12, and this site does a great job of keeping me up to date on all things Longhorn. In a place where the "Saturday game of the week" always includes duke (yes, in football), I am very greatful.

Thanks Wahoo
Comments like that mean more to us than you realize.
And I agree with you about the commenters here - it's the biggest part of what makes it a great place.

Cheapest season tickets in NC
My dad used to get them in the 90's so he could see Florida State play every other year. Mid-sized stadium and the only times it would come close to filling up was when Duke played NC St. or UNC (from their fans, not Duke's)...

Couldn't agree more
Since moving to DC I've learned that mid-atlantic east coast football may not be the worst in the country but it's definitely the most boring.

Here Here
I couldn't agree more after moving to DC in 2004. Keep it up, BON (even in the offseason).

I'm curious
Where are most of the BON faithful located geographically? While I'm sure the majority are in Texas, I note a large contingent in the DC area (Lord help us all).

informal survey
Based on longhorn stickers on cars and burnt orange shirts / hats etc., there are a significant number of Longhorns about the greater DC area. Surely most of them read this august blog?

Anyone in Richmond?
I'm in Austin now, but I'm considering a move for work in Richmond.

Charlottesville
I'm in Charlottesville, which is about an hour west of Richmond, but will be moving up to DC next year. You see some UT stuff around in central Virginia, but not a great deal. It's rare enough that I still try to say hello to those I see wearing burnt orange.

UVA law, wahoo?
nice. are there a lot of UT grads in your class? i think we had 14 in my class of law school alone. and 2 from OU and 0 from a&m.

Yeah
I'm not sure how many UT grads we have. I think it's probably about 4 or 5 in my class, with about the same number of A&M grads. No OU grads. The only other Big 12 are one Kansas and one CU. It's a little hard to tell because people root for teams and then you find out they went to Harvard. For the first game of the tournament last year when we played Penn, the bar was full of Penn grads and I was one of three UT fans.
