ND Comes to Texas
But they won't be playing a Texas team. Notre Dame and Washington State will be playing in San Antonio in 2009: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200... I don't like the idea of two out of state teams coming to Texas to show off their schools to local recruits.

It is a strange ploy
by ND. I'm not sure how this sells kids on Notre Dame or Wazzou.
ND doesn't suffer from underexposure. Plenty of kids see them. South Bend is just a tougher sell than it once was and cable television/internet have leveled the field, giving state/local teams complete tv time on the national scene.
Wazzou is practically on the moon. How many kids will feel compelled to attend college in rural Washington after seeing them play?

odd move
I wonder if football is going the same way as basketball, playing more neutral site games to get more exposure for your team. It'll be a sad day if Texas ever plays in California for better exposure, that's what the Bowl Games were for I thought.
On a side note, does this mean that Baylor and/or TCU are no longer planning on playing ND in Jerryworld?

Just goes to show
How desperate ND is for some speed. Charlie Weis might as well wear a sign saying, "WILL PLAY ANYONE, ANYWHERE IN TEXAS OR FLORIDA TO RECRUIT SOME SPEED! PLEASE? ANYBODY HAVE SPEED?"
