Kevin Durant and John Coltrane

I thought this was interesting, so I decided to share.

Star-divide

Here's a comparison b/w Kevin Durant and jazz (the music, not the team) legend John Coltrane. Click on the link for the picture comparison and entire text.

The thing that has always appealed to me about Coltrane is that his music hits all the important places: the head, the heart, and the soul. If we’re all lucky, we’ll be able to say the same thing about Kevin Durant’s game at the next level. The physical resemblance that strikes me between these two men is primarily in the eyes - a strong and direct gaze, and a confidence that says "I am about to righteously blow your mind".

Durant

Thanks for the link.

The most important thing to remember, when considering my massive man-crush on Kevin Durant is: I am a die-hard Kansas Jayhawk.  He's just that good.

Genius

I think from now on "Coltrane" will be the name that I give that ethereal, indescribeable quality that athletes have...that IT. For instance: "I saw Sam McGuffie last week against Cy Falls. That cat's got some Coltrane." or "Leinart had a pretty good rookie year, but I just don't think he's got the Coltrane to hang with VY."

There is only one kind of dance: the Robot. And the Robo Boogie. Oh, yes. Two kinds of dances.

I love it!  They do kind of have that same quiet seriousness.

I don't know about that comparison, but it certainly reminds me of this:
