ESPN Radio Changes
Does anyone know what happened to the guys on Austin's ESPN Radio? Looks like their show was cancelled.
About a week ago I was listening and they were going on about some girl that lived upstairs and her "meathead" boyfriend and the noises they'd make. I used to work in radio and I thought some of the things they were saying were dangerously close to crossing the line... maybe they knew they were on the way out. I wish the station can find a mediocre alternate to Craig Way and Chad & Kevin.
Secondly, it looks like the guys from Orangebloods are going to have a show on the station during football season. That should be a good one. I think Jeff Ward & Ed Clements are the best for post-game, but we'll see what kind of show the Rivals guys put together.

Are you talking about...
Kevin and AJ? They worked the 3-7 shift after Dan Patrick. My girlfriend loved listening to them since half the time they talk about pointless stuff and celebrity gossip.

The Beatdown
I also liked that show. I usually have it on for my commute home from work. They have an interesting mix of random news and sports.
I just assumed the show was off last week for the 4th of July (sort of like a week-long vacation). I guess we'll see about that today. Hopefully they're still on--or at least a comparable show is on in place of a nationally-syndicated show (I like a little local flavor in my sports broadcasts).

Upon closer inspection
I just checked the ESPN Austin website--the Beatdown's been removed from the programming line up for a show called "The Sports Bash." Looks like they've changed their Saturdays up a bit, too. I'm guessing the guys from Orangebloods are replacing the guys from Inside Texas that did the show "Around the Horns." Must have been a shake up at the station--I think some of the Inside Texas guys regularly did producing work.

But now
I saw that Jeff Ward on KLBJ is starting something called "The Football Show" with Geoff Ketchum. That's supposed to launch at the end of the month and I have no idea when/what that will entail.

Re:
I was listening to Dan Patrick today (who's leaving Aug. 17, by the way...now the only thing left on ESPN Radio during the day is Schrutebag), and the promos said that the 4-7 timeslot had new hosts. Anyways, I thought I heard one of them was Chip Brown...the same one from DMN?
