According to the Longhorn blog in the Chronicle, Jones' attorneys are waiting for information from the Texas Attorney General that would bring resolution to the case as early as next week. The only specific they mentioned was that it pertained to his alibi.
Not sure what information this could be, but it sure is getting interesting. If this guy is truly the victim of mistaken identity it will unfortunately probably not even register on the wires and the team will continue to carry the "thug" monicker after all the arrests from this summer. Still, for horns fans everywhere, it would be a huge sigh of relief. This is all still legal talk and speculation until its played out in court.
