Ryan Bailey Rewarded With Scholarship
As we race through the final days before the season openers, kickers and scholarships are in the news. First, Urban Meyer gave out a schollie to a kicker... on a bet. Now, this morning, Mack Brown has given out a scholarship to Ryan Bailey.
Bailey, of course, iced the Nebraska win (seen below at the 3:30 mark), and has been nails ever since.
Congratulations to Ryan Bailey. Here's to a big 2007 season.

Great!
That's the right thing to do. I once mentioned in the diaries that my only complaint about Mack is his reluctance to give scholarship to Baily. VERY pleased to see him do this.

GPA
Something tells me Ryan Bailey has a really good GPA, which will do a lot for our APR score.
Mack has been really smart about handing out these spare scholarships to high-GPA upperclassmen.
Good for him. He's a fine young man from Austin Anderson.

Thanks for the 'Live on Line tip.'
I've got 8 months left in the Navy and have to sweat out one more season away from section 7U. I dont want to miss another potential game winner into the wind as when Virginia came to town in October 1995. Remember PHIL!!! Bottom line, I support the scholarship. Bring it Bailey!!

![This year's senior night for Texas wasn't a particularly memorable one. AJ Abrams and Connor Atchley were relatively quiet, while Baylor barely showed up to compete. I'll take the comfortable win, but the snoozer of a game certainly didn't do much to feed the appetite for excitement.
For that, then, we turn to Pullman for Washington State's senior night overtime thriller, where in his final home game as a Cougar Taylor Rochestie kept WSU red hot and streaking towards the NCAA Tournament. Incredible...
March Madness is here.
