TCU is ready for us...
well at least their fans appear to be. If you hit their official athletic website you'll see bunches of anti-Texas gear. All in good fun but it shows how "up" some of their fanbase and players might be. We cannot overlook that game.
I would post the link for easy viewing but that might seem like I'm plugging TCU gear so I won't.

TCU
I live in Fort Worth about a minute and a half from the TCU campus. I assure you that TCU is ready. They've been getting geared up to play Texas all summer. You really can't go anywhere around that campus without hearing someone chattering about September 8.
I like the Froggies a lot, so I hope they have a tremendous season after they lose in Austin.

Live in
North Richland Hills, and yes TCU and there fan base, which includes me(Home Town), are geared up for us. I agree, TCU will ,I hope, only have 1 loss this year (UT). I personally hope they beat the heck out of Baylor. I know it hurts the conference, but it will not hurt our strength of schedule rating.

This is the....
same team that beat Baylor by only 10 points last season, right?
Now, w/o their starting QB and RB, they think they are ready for our Longhorns? They are far from ready.

I seem to think...
That some schools have an upper limit at which they can play, and any school below that ability ceiling is beatable. Look at the Aggies last year. They barely beat almost everyone they won against. It was like they only played exactly as tough as they needed to play to get a win. That bit them against Tech and NU, but that's just part of that style of team. I look for TCU to beat Baylor comfortably, but not incredibly, and then frustrate the hell out of Texas well into the second half in a damn good game. Don't be surprised if TCU looks super better against Texas than they do against BU.

Good point to remember.
Teams who play the Horns never need extra motivation to play hard. For most teams UT will be the biggest game on their schedule. Plus as a top tier team Horn's games gets more exposure across the country. This ups the ante for all the UT opponents.

Super better?
I am not one to point out grammar or spelling, but super better?
Is this a new internetism that I am not aware of?

No that's just a regular old...
adverb-modified comparative adjective. Although I'm not sure that use is widely accepted. Just think of it as an exclamation point in the middle of a sentence.

Good point Horn Brain
I also see that happening. Hell, wasn't UNT with us one year until the 2nd half? By then our size, depth and strength will wear them down.
Oh yea, and one Jermichael Finley all day long. As long as Colt wants it. Who's gonna bring him down?
I just don't see anyone stopping us this year. Colt has the top receivers (Please stay healthy) in the Big 12, Finley over the middle and J.C in the flat as an outlet.
Game over.

Still there
and will not splitting carries with anyone like the last two years. Our other RB last year, Lonta Hobbs, is the one who graduated. Brown's been our starter for most of the last two years and the leading rusher both years.
Oh, and I have no reservations in shamelessly plugging TCU gear. I haven't been a big fan of what the TCU sports marketing people have come up for this game, but I guess this one isn't THAT bad -

So you're pulling for the 'Horns as your name and sig. suggest? I hope TCU plays us close, then we go undefeated and they have just the one loss. That sounds like a recipe for a BCS buster if the media will plug you guys enough. One loss to a NC contender is a legitimate BCS resume. I've always thought of TCU as a 'good' rival-More respectable than the Aggies or Sooners, and at least three rungs on the evolutionary ladder above the Hogs. Also, I just love teams that play tough defense. Does anyone agree with me about TCU being a respectable rivalry game? Or do I just not remember losing to them in the 40's or something?

TCU is not a rival
Just not happening. Too many reasons to count why but I do agree with you about respect of TCU as a whole. A good school with respectable athletics and classy fans... Unlike the agriculturists, land thieves or hogs that is.
I'll be pulling for them for the BCS this year as well. Just not to beat us of course.

Miscommunication there...
Didn't mean to propose TCU as a real rivalry. I just meant it in the way that any school in your state brings an element of rivalry to the game.

I like TCU...
they're my second favorite team in the NCAA (my most hated rival on Sep 8) and I agree on the "respectable" factor.
Like all Game 2s, TCU will be our measuring stick. With all the promise and talent we bring to the table, I can never tell how good we ACTUALLY are until the game 2. This will be no different, except we "should" have bigger, stronger, and faster players overall.
I would fear the Horned Frogs for the primary reason of this being what Gary Patterson has been waiting for. A potential major upset against a Top 5 team to catapult them into BCS (and possibly NC) considerations.
