Two Cents: Auburn vs. KSU
With Brad Lester out does Kansas State have a chance at the upset? I will cite the Georgia game last year as evidence that relying on Brandon Cox's arm is not an optimal situation for Auburn. Does that give "uber-QB," Josh Freeman, and Kansas State a chance?

I'm picking Kstate
but I did that because Auburn has a new offensive line. Next to a purely freshman QB, the OL is the greatest weakness an offense can have for the first game. Penalties, turnovers and bad snaps on kicks/PATs, and mistakes on critical third down situations all can go awry due to the lack of experience.
I thought there was potential for an upset in the first-game situation, even at home. So, Brad Lester out helps my pick. But, really, I just thought this was the best chance; no real insight or insider knowledge.
KState has to score early to set up the situation. A couple solid drives and TDs by Auburn and the risk of upset fades and KSt would have to win on merit and i don't think they can do that in Alabama.
