Just wanted to let everyone know of a recent good deed by UT. I was born in Louisiana, but was raised in Bryan/College Station. No I'am not an aggie. I love UT football and I will always bleed orange. I have been in the Army for almost 5 years now and have served in Iraq, Afghanistan, and I'am on my second tour in Qatar. My first deployment in Iraq my Platoon Leader, who attended Notre Dame, had t-shirts,hats,photos,and letters w/ pics from the cheerleaders sent out to us. This recently crossed my mind and I thought "what a great idea." So I took a chance and emailed a few people at UT, I honestly didn't think this would work. Well it did and earlier this week I recieved a package with Team photos, UT towels, some programs which have awesome holographic covers, some pennants, a card, and a few signed footballs. I just want to send my thanks to UT for this generous moral package. I have a few other UT fans in my unit and will be sending some of this stuff to them as well. Thanks alot :)! I hope to attend TEXAS one day.
p.s. I never got a response back from the cheerleaders though lol...I had to throw that in there.
The Pride And The Winning Tradition Of The Texas Longhorns Will Not Be entrusted To The Weak or The Timid= this is what was on the cover of the card.
