by Bevoboy94 on Sep 15, 2007 7:44 PM CDT reply actions

Ridiculous

Its bad enough that USC pays the nation's best players to play there, but the refs give them all the calls too.

21-21

SLC and Miami are tied 21 at the half. Miam's offense has scored three td's and SLC has two and one fumble return for a touchdown.

Miami was starting to force their speed and athleticism on SLC until late in the 2nd quarter.  The Miami defense looked winded at the end of half chasing Riley Dodge around.

Tre Newton had some flashed but was mainly held in check in the first half.

by sportsfan on Sep 15, 2007 7:55 PM CDT up reply actions

maybe I spoke too soon

Neb is starting to work a rythm.  I really like the Husker playcalling, too.

by DogTown on Sep 15, 2007 7:49 PM CDT reply actions

Until the field goal decision

going for a field goal inside the 5 is ALWAYS a dumbass decision (unless its the last play of the game). Especially with a running back like Lucky.

by BrooklynHorn on Sep 15, 2007 7:52 PM CDT up reply actions

Lucky lucky lucky
penalty on SC, Huskers get first down inside the 3.  Neb scores 2 plays later.  Gotta love that short yardaage running ability....they pound the ball right into the teeth of SC and still score.

by DogTown on Sep 15, 2007 7:58 PM CDT up reply actions

Arkansas receiver drop

Receiver just caught ball, nobody within 10 yards and he dropped it.  Then, they zoom to crowd and show someone with a pig tattooed on the under side of his arm.

by JohnsonUT on Sep 15, 2007 7:56 PM CDT reply actions

Riley Dodge

Knocked out with a bloody nose I'm sure he will be back in.....Still 21-21 and Miami punted their first possession of the second half.....

by sportsfan on Sep 15, 2007 8:09 PM CDT reply actions

27-21 Miami

Miami just completed their fourth TD pass but missed the PAT for a 27-21 lead...The Miami Northwest quarterback, a Miami Hurricane next year, is really good....Still no sign of Riley Dodge

by sportsfan on Sep 15, 2007 8:19 PM CDT reply actions

Trojans Dominating on the Ground

Nebraska appeared to be in the game but USC scores a quick 14 and are up 21-10 just before the second half.

USC got really lucky on a fumble on a kickoff return and took advantage.

Running Back

I don't know which is USC's better back C.J. Gable or Stefan Johnson....I think UT will be able to run on the Huskers.....

by sportsfan on Sep 15, 2007 9:01 PM CDT up reply actions

they still havent shown mcknight have they?

i'd like to see what he can do.

also, of the backs they've shown tonight that fullback is the best

i hate arkansas as much as the next guy

but those weirdo formations are awesome to watch.

Miami 29 SLC 21

Miami got a safety after a snap over the head of the punter...SLC held Miami and marched down to inside the 20 and failed to convert on 4th and 8.....SLC just held Miami to three and out and they have the ball with 7:48 left in the game...Riley Dodge is back at quarterback....

by sportsfan on Sep 15, 2007 8:59 PM CDT reply actions

Hogs and Bama tied at 31

Arkansas scored a quick 14 in the 4th quarter to tie the game with about 11 minutes left.

McFadden

People here in Dallas are salivating at the possibility of getting McFadden next year...

by sportsfan on Sep 15, 2007 9:02 PM CDT up reply actions

Question

I don't follow the NFL as closely as I do college. Unless Dallas has someone else's 1st round pick, won't they win too many games and pick way too late in the first to get McFadden.

That said, Jerry Jones is an Arkansas boy and might give away the house to pick up Darren.

--AW--

by awiggo on Sep 15, 2007 9:04 PM CDT up reply actions

Clevenland Pick

Dallas has the Cleveland Brown's first  round pick...They gave it to Dallas this year for the right to draft Brady Quinn....

by sportsfan on Sep 15, 2007 9:05 PM CDT up reply actions

Thanks

that makes a lot more sense. They could easily end up with a top three pick, at least.

--AW--

by awiggo on Sep 15, 2007 9:07 PM CDT up reply actions

Jerry

If they get a top three pick I think Jerry will package the Cleveland pick with his own first round pick to get McFadden......

by sportsfan on Sep 15, 2007 9:10 PM CDT up reply actions

Jones and McFadden

just killing Bama now. Darren McFadden will easily finish with over 200 yds.

SLC Fumble

SLC was driving inside the Miami 35 and fumbled...Miami has the ball with 7:17 left in the game.....Todd Dodge, who is on the sidelines, needs to put on the headset....

by sportsfan on Sep 15, 2007 9:04 PM CDT reply actions

21 straight for Arkansas

and the Hogs take a seven point lead late in the fourth. Through three quarters, Saban's salary looked justifiable. Now, now so sure.

Aggie Defense

Unless they are just running basic vanilla defense until Miami they are unimpessive....

by sportsfan on Sep 15, 2007 9:07 PM CDT reply actions

SLC Another Chance

SLC held Miami and has the ball at their own 45 with 5:00 miinutes left

by sportsfan on Sep 15, 2007 9:11 PM CDT reply actions

Miami intercepted with 3:50 left....The 49 game winning streak is in serious trouble...

Major Applewhite Strikes Again

Bama scores with 8 seconds left to go up three on Arkansas. McFadden and the Hog rushing attack has been awesome but Bama will improve to 3-0 and definitely be ranked on Monday. Great drive, great finish, great start to the year for the Tide.

Why on Earth did Tom O'Brien leave Boston College to go to North Carolina State?

by sportsfan on Sep 15, 2007 10:08 PM CDT reply actions

better fan support and better recruiting base

at NCST than at BC. He saw it is as sacrificing short-term gain for greater long-term gain I think.
