Robert Killebrew
Robert Killebrew just might be the worst Longhorn in the history of Texas football. He's clueless out there on the field. And on those rare occasions when he's actually in position to make a tackle, he lunges at the guy, makes a weak attempt at an arm tackle, and then falls down as if he's given some kind of effort. It's embarrassing, and it's frustrating when watching him during the game.
I've never seen a linebacker try so hard to avoid hitting anyone and then compound it with having no idea where to go on the field.

I agree completely
Its as if mack doesn't want to hurt anyones feelings by starting someone younger bc they have more talent. I think someone should take a play out of Dan Hawkins play book, "this if f*cking football", "college f*cking football". If you can't produce there are 90 other scholarship players who would love to get the chance to show what they can do. Oh yeah, I forgot its Mack talking, "Roberts just too good of guy, on and off the field, to stick him with the harsh realities of NCAA division 1 BCS football. I think its best if we just let him adjust to his surroundings, its only been two years and I think we need to give him some more time to get in sync with the opposing coordinators game plan. Hes so close to losing a game for us that if we were to pull him now it would take away all the f*cking up we've worked so hard to do". (Mack gives his classic smile where the light reflects off his teeth and pats the reporter on the back while he then walks off thinking," I'm rich bitches and I aint leavin so suck it")

Just shows ur class
or lack of it.
"I'm rich bitches and I aint leavin so suck it"
That's what you got to say about one of the best coaches in Texas history? I should stop reading "fan" blogs, this bs is making me sick.

Its called sarcasm
I was just trying to give the dramatic effect of his interviews. Lighten up, its not as if this has international consequences, it "football, college f*ing football", God I love Dan Hawkins....

sarcasm
It wasn't really effective, nor did it provide a dramatic effect. In fact, I'm not sure what the point of it was.

sarcasm?
There is no sarcasm in your initial comment, and you know it :) This is your other comment. Anyways, happy to see after the initial anger (and drunkenness?) you have lighten up. I agree, I should lighten up also, I'm taking criticism against Mack too seriously.

Your right
there is no sarcasm in my initial comment, except what you highlighted. I believe mack is a good guy, but he is not immune to questioning when his coaching is suspect. We all need to question what this team is doing right now bc it is not what we have come to expect from a Texas football team. Don't make something out of nothing, I am just trying to have fun with Robert Killebrew.

i'm with you
i had to sign off the live blog about 4 times today because people were driving me insane. but that's the nature of fan blogs. you have to take the bad with the good. fans come in different shapes, sizes, levels of intelligence and rationality, capability to comprehend layers of thought beyond "good" and "bad," coherency, ability to effectively use sarcasm, etc. you just gotta learn to ignore the bullshit. i'm not there yet, but i'm trying.

wow
You logged back to the live blog 3 times? BON is by far the most rational longhorn community btw.

yeah, i love the live blog
but i kept getting so mad at people that I didn't want to say anything mean and offensive. i got back on when i calmed down.
and i know it's the most rational community. what bothers me is that it used to be mostly free of this nonsense that pervades other communities. as it has gained a broader and more widespread appeal, the tone of commenters has changed a little bit. i mean, more readers and commenters is definitely good for the blog. just in a selfish way, i'm a bit nostalgic.

It was always here
it was just hidden by VY's abilities for a couple of years.

Like many other flaws
VY's cape covered a lot of things.

anyone see the screen pass?
not sure what period it was in (i think first half but not positive) when UCF set up an obvious screen pass and completed it for something like 20 yards. as it happened i noted two things: (1) killebrew charged the QB when he had no shot at getting him (2) the RB was open by a mile in the area the RK had just vacated. this leads me to ask, seeing as there was no other defender remotely close, did RK blatantly ditch his assignment?

pass
I think I remember the play you're talking about (UCF's first TD drive?), but that looked more like a designed blitz than anything else.
At least, that's what I remember thinking at the time.

could be
it definitely could have been just the call, that's why i asked. but i just remember as it happened i thought two things (1) man that defender was in horrible position.....(2) wait i bet it was RK.
